You know, even seeing that, I'd still put it at 9.8 given the rest of the book and taking into account the gross inconsistencies I've seen at 9.8s on squarebounds -- some with ugly glue rippling etc. I suppose if it was consistent all the way across, I'd go with 9.6 as a technical grade. That corner is, I suppose, the real problem. At first I thought that was just some color rub, but it does appear to be a ding. I have seen worse 9.8's. Still, one of the nicest copies EVER.

Most books are falling like this. Non-keys have taken a beating as far as realising percentages of what they were selling for even 1 year ago. Still a great book to own.

Did you buy most of these or are they personal submissions?

I have almost a complete run of Chamber of Chills from 12 to 23 that I need to submit soon. The #16 is a 9.8 candidate if ever I saw one. And the nicest TOD #2 and 10 I have ever owned. They are at CGC now. And Werewolf by Night/TOD Squarebounds seemed to jump out at you in Chicago so I picked up quite a few copies. Fear Squarebounds were plentiful in 9.4 condition so I grabbed a few and hope to scan a cover shot or two this week.

As well as the crypt of shadows.

The back looks really brown on the BC and it looks like some dust shadow or sun tanning on the back that would kick the book out of HG. (thumbs u
