  1. I mean this in a good way but you make me sick. WOW! The pinnacle of Captain Marvelness
  2. What were you expecting? i placed a low bid to watch the closing price. i guess the bid wasn't low enough? now i've got the comiclink and heritage auction payment due blues. Ouch! But if your gonna hurt that AF #15 softens the pain.
  3. I concur Ditto No reply from Greggy yet. Only explanation is he is napping. You die I'm all aquiver with fear.

  5. Major, and I mean major kudos to Chris (ffcomics) for paying in half the time we agreed upon. Thanks for a hassle free transaction.
  6. I am not sure what you mean, but I don't think so. I think 'Trooper was first with some comment about a rats azz, but that all got mixed in with the Welch comments. Then scheradon cleaned house and then Flaming_Telepath jumped on the band wagon. I believe that's when I referenced Brent and Tom. I'm forced to assume that you've never publicly agreed with anyone here, nor posted your own additional, supportive comments? Look, you can call me whatever you like, but it was disrespectful to the guy, contrary to the spirit of this thread and just plain wrong. End of. Fixed that one Looking back on the whole thread I have to agree with Nick. Not only was tomc for the moist part ignored, many made light of his situation.

I apologise for the incorrect statement and will repent with sackcloth and ashes.
  9. Weren't you the first to reply to tomc after he posted his concerns with Brent? Second if they money was indeed sent on the 25th, not when negotiations on the books started tomc jumped the gun a little (just symantecs here) but if we have a 30 day policy lets keep to that.
  10. I agree their should be no preferential treatment for anyone, but their are acceptable and unacceptable ways of getting your point across. We should all try and act like adults and when some fail to do that when they buy/sell they have their name added to this thread.
  11. My point was simply that he seems to be making a mountain out of a molehill and then using terms like "f-ing books" and ranting up a storm doesn't help his cause. There is a difference between reporting a legitimate complaint and going overboard, the former being what this thread is supposed to accomplish and the latter being a problem that infects this board on Oh-So-Many levels. Apparently there was a goof. Brent apologized. The books are on their way. Case closed. Well said George. Things happen in life. People get busy, there are hurricanes and fires, unexpected events in life happen. Most people that sell on these boards have other jobs (some full time ) Ranting and raving does not help anyone. I have not met a single buyer/seller who has gotten their books or money sooner who jump up and down, hold their breath or resort to profanity. I do agree there needs to be more communication. How hard is it to say "I'm backed up and your books will be out xx/xx/xx.
  12. Kudos to irish spring for quick payment on some valiant books.
  13. Kudos to Mephisto for the Omega The Unknown #2 slab. Thanks for a smooth transaction.
  14. Not sure if it was mentioned but the Iron Giant has comics in it.
  15. Kudos to cd4ever for IMHO a nice undergraded thor. First appearance of Firelord
  16. Although this is may be a good idea, I don't think that it is practical. I try and ship within a couple of days of selling a book, but it still takes at least two weeks from Canada to the U.S. via regular mail (which most buyers want). If the cutoff date is two weeks it will force me to charge all buyers for expediated service. I think four weeks is a good time period because it gives a few days to box and mail while still allowing up to three weeks for delivery (I've never had a package take longer than that). Mike I think proof that the book has been shipped is enough. If their is a valid tracking number that should suffice until it gets there. I mean you could mail nothing and the buyer would not know until the package arrived. At least this way you have a place holder so no one blasts you after 14 days.
  17. Thanks Matt and your reprint gave all of us a good laugh (at mu expense).
