  1. I didn't go through the comments but there was a new screen when I logged in that had me agree essentially not to be a troll or disruptive, I forgot the exact wording.
  2. I don't think CBSI is in cahoots on this. They trash the book in the 1st review and take a more neutral position in the 2nd.
  3. For real!!!! Who would spend that amount of time watching YouTube when there is a 150 page thread on the topic on the CGC boards! The need to keep it short in focused, like we are doing on this thread.
  4. I assumed he bought it at $1,500. Then he netted $150 after eBay fees and an $1800 sales price. Makes sense since BF was selling the 9.8's at $750 ea. (after originally selling 2 for $500 ea.).
  5. Maybe you need to be an "established influencer" to do that?
  6. If this keeps up another couple dozen pages, there will be a part 2. https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/511154-c2e2-variant-drama/page/79/#comment-12463789
  7. People are saying BF went around and sold them to vendors prior to the show opening and that's where the pictures are coming from. What vendors are supporting this? There are others who are saying BF is not selling the books because of potential issues with Marvel or the Con. Drama. If CGC comes out and says they see the error they made, they can still save face and show they are IMPARTIAL. I have several hundred more books to submit but am holding off until this is resolved. If these books were graded as part of some marketing campaign (like the CGC 9.5 for Wizard World), then they should have their own color label for marketing or a green label. But these should NOT be counted as blue label 10.0, 9.9 or 9.8 books. If blue label, the highest would be 7.0.
  8. Just read that some of the UF4 acetates have only 3 staples, lol.
  9. Wow, so Black Flag is trolling the con attendees. Instead of selling the acetate covered new books, they are trolling the customers as "dum dums" with piles of dum dums around the booth.
  10. Well it is only 10 in the morning... but yeah, kinda scared me a bit too
  11. I can't wait for the first person to submit one here: https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/
  12. "Come out come out wherever you are" https://www.instagram.com/p/ChLGmoODUHK/?hl=en
  13. Live streaming from Boston cutting into this video...
  14. I want to see the rules here as well. Fixed it to reflect the truth, they need to update their website now. It's clear they are trying to damage control on the fly and are ignoring the damage they are doing to their brand. Why do I care? Because a lot of the value of my books is tied to the value of their brand. We are just getting started. I need two lists: 1. List of the "established artists" so I can make my own acetate edition and also know not to buy acetate editions from non-established artists because then it would get a green label. 2. Still want to know the list of people in the "head grading team". I have some ideas I want to run by them.
  15. I'm guessing management is now taking the "let it blow over" approach, I wish I could see if Mike is blinking 3 times.
  16. That's the reason Spider-man was always poor... CGC is in "saving face" mode. Unfortunately, this is like quicksand to them until they go back to their core rules (modifying books after production gets GREEN). Everything else they say is just making it worse. The bigger issue is starting to be the "We can do no wrong" stance by CGC and the new and inventive ways to explain why they did things. Ironically, they are ruining their brand by not admitting they made a mistake. It's really like a child who is making up excuses. I would put the blue label and 10.0/9.9 scoring at the same level of severity. Both are incorrect and devalue my higher grade books. Can't wait to see Acetategate cosplay! These rules were 100% JUST MADE UP!!!! CGC, can we have a list of "established artists in the industry"? I will 100% fund an established artist to do this with me. I want some 10.0's.
  17. I bet you could fund it with an OnlyFans showing you cutting in line...
  18. Even if true, the odds of three times in a row (and the first three times doing this) getting one 10.0, three 9.9's and the rest 9.8's is impossible.
  19. If anyone finds a YT live, please link here. Who else wants multiple copies of the same book besides a reseller, flipper or influencer? Maybe a hoarder? I would chip in to a gofundme if someone would cut the line and get it on video Yes! Nothing gets things going like a crowd of protesters.
  20. Wow, talk about opening up all the inner workings of what's going on. WhatNot paying vendors to sell there? Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn!!!!! I think taking this to Twitter would definitely get Marvels attention. 10's are not THAT common... only 10% are 10's!
  21. Except it's not going to pass. Black Flag already has 2 more variants ready for Boston that are doing the same thing. Easy $30k+ payday for the retailer. The market will be FLOODED with these as people try to cash in on the ability to "legitimize" their bootlegs and sell them at an ultra premium. So much for rare 9.9's and 10.0's. 9.8's will lose credibility as well. They artificially now have the ability to sell hundreds of raw books at $100+ each with the backing of CGC.
  22. So the 2 books to be sold by Black Flag in Boston... are they "re-releases" with acetate also? or are they new books that will only be released with Acetate? Seeing as how the print runs for the acetate covers on these Boston Fan Expo books is only 350 compared to the 750 of UF4 at C2E2, it lends that these are left over copies from a previous print run also.
  23. If only we could figure out their secret...
