I just recently got a submission back from CGC modern and I can’t quite put my finger on it but the slabs seem to be different maybe a little bit thicker I know they have not  announced anything that they were changing the slabs but I was just wondering if anybody else has got a shipment back in the last few days and also noticed the change

So when ever a hulk 181 that is missing the value stamp CGC always notes it missing from page 10 but when counting the pages it’s on page 19 What am I missing 

I guess the condition  of the book would help thanks for the help

I can actually see how that could happen accidentally.  Perhaps he had been researching the internet to verify what he had and saved that image to his phone for comparison, then when he listed the comic on eBay he accidentally included that photo.  This scenario is more likely if he created the listing while driving.  I'm not sure if he actually did that, but he definitely took some of the photos while driving.  (Illegal in many states but I'm not sure about Louisiana or Mississippi.)  Perhaps in his excitement over what he thought he (possibly) had, he created the listing in haste.

That is exactly what happened. I had no idea what it was and I posted it in excitement, I had tried to research and found photos and saved them for comparison didn’t realize that I put them on the eBay listing till just now regardless, the sale was canceled after I was told it was a fake , and I am sending the book out in Cgc to figure out what the hell it is and see what they labeled as when I get it back, I will post pictures. I’ve never he’ll want any TMNT Prints , so I had no idea.what I had which is why reached out to multiple places. 

How does CGC grade a book with one detached staple on the centerfold? Bottom staple is detached but top is still good. Would it get the green qualified label because one  staple is detached?

Yea never seeing a turtles #1 I had no idea what it was and I’ve  read stories about people finding scores at yard sales, flee markets, antique stores so I just thought I became one of them people  

I guess some things are to good to be true 

Sorry my bad yes it  was antique store I go to bunch of both they are free to go to lol. I canceled that sell after every one said it was it was most likely a fake. And yes taking pictures while driving was the best idea but I was I trying to figure out what I had and I excited to find out

The focus on the photo is a little soft in that area, so it's tough to tell if really different. It also makes it harder to see if a price was blacked out, though one should be able to tell in hand. A black sharpie doesn't tend to bleed through slick paper.

As for the price it doesn’t appear to marked out. No bleeding on the inside of the cover as mentioned above

I read up on what the size should be of the book and it’s right are super really close depending on my tape measure

Like I said TMNT is not my wheelhouse should there be pricing on the back cover? What about second and third print? I did measure it. I just got home and  the measurements are correct for the first print outside of that. This is all new territory for me.

I just Bought a CGC restored book. That has small amount of glue on the spine. What would be the best way to remove the glue with out damaging the book hopefully

So two weeks ago I sent in my first CGC submission. Years past I used my LCS. I sent them in Economy Fast track the books have been received but still not showing up under the submission tab. Is this standard? If so any idea a rough estimate how long it takes to be entered into the system? 

So I just recently sent my very first CGC submission in the years past I  have used my LCS. It was delivered this past Friday. I did economy fast track. It has not been excepted an entered to the system yet my submission that is typically how long does it take?

Gotcha well the next tier is standard tier which TAT is 15 days. And what bout wrighting on the box?

Ok and if they just bump up the one book but not the others will then ship at different times because of different tiers? 
also I know you have to wright on the box of express tiers. Should I wright on the box of standard or Economy tier? And I’m fine taking the risk of the shipping insurance if something happens to the book I’m gambler

I’m getting ready to submit my first set of books to CGC myself.  I’ve always used my LCS in the past but just found out he charges also to send to CGC!  So I have a couple of questions. One of the books I’m sending in is adventure comics 247. Well even at 0.5 cover prices gives it FMV of 700.00 mine Is a 2.0 roughly which FMV per cover price is 1,000.00 but last sale was in 2021. Economy Tier list a max value of 400.00 so if I submit it under economy tier fast track will CGC bump it up to standard Tier and charge me the difference? Or leave it in economy. I’m also submit it Hawkman 4 and house of secrets 92  which depending on grade would also be worth more than 400.00 

I hope this is in the right section. I normally go through my LCS when submitting books but I going to do if for the first time and I have a couple of questions. First standard Tier doesn’t have years listed for the comics like the other years so does year not matter? 2nd question Economy tier has max value of 400.00 I have a book depending on the grade would be fine in economy tier I would fast track it but it might grade out higher and it bump it out. Would it bump it to the standard tier? I’m looking at them two tiers Because of the fast turnaround time
