  1. I'm a touch older than you, but I definitely prefer Supes... enough to tat him on me!
  2. My Supes 40 above has a cursive "S". Anyone know why?
  3. I was bidding/watching the Superman 4 (7.5) that is now gone. I tried to search for it, but I can't find it.
  4. Technically, I used CGC for the book to be graded and slabbed. I never thought the book would come back restored due to the sellers longevity on eBay with perfect feedback selling comics. I DO feel he could've at least responded to me about the fees. It is what it is, I'm not complaining, was just sharing a similar story with the OP.
  5. The book was advertised as unrestored, and it turned out to be restored. Had I not chosen to sub the book, I never would've known till X amount of years later when I went to sell it. Where I would've taken a huge loss on it. But that's ok with you? Ooooook, pal.
  6. Same thing happened to me on a high 4 figure book last fall. Seller with 8000+ 100% positive feedbacks listed this book as unrestored. It came back from CGC as restored. He apologized and refunded my money, but did not refund my CGC fees (which I asked several times too). Coincidentally, he never even responded to my requests for it either. The seller did do the right thing by refunding me without needing to get eBay involved, though I have no doubt they would've sided with me and granted the refund. So, they really didn't have a choice.
  7. Does a CVA 2.0 just mean the book SHOULD'VE been a 2.5 or 3.0?
  8. Seriously???? Right at the end you bail on us??????? Lol
  9. When I went back and looked at the pix, knowing now what they are, I can see them. Still haven't heard back from him again.
  10. I just meant I haven't heard back yet. Now, I did email them Sunday about an invoice issue, and for that, I STLL havent heard back. Lol
  11. Ok thanks... I was afraid it would be regraded, and of course there's the possibility that it comes back lower. I asked CGC, but I haven't heard back yet.
  12. He finally sent me a nonchalant msg last nite: "We are sorry about that. I guess you are going to send it in to be reholdered? We can send you some money to cover that charge if you want." I asked about it being reholdered or would it need to be regraded due to the damage. I also asked why he didn't mention it in the description. Waiting for a response... This is definitely on the seller, not CGC.
  13. Hi, I received a book in the mail today, and the top right corner was chipped at some point. As a result, there are a few tiny pieces of the plastic inside the slab. No other slab damage. Coud this be sent for a reslab? Thanks... Mike
  14. I received similar charges. I've emailed about them too, but no response.
  15. Hey everyone, I received a book in the mail today. The top right corner is slightly chipped, and it has a few small pieces of plastic inside the slab. It did not happen during transit, as it was packed well. Looking back at the pix, I can see the chips in there (now that I know what I'm looking for). Would CGC reholder this book, or need a regrade? Any suggestions on what to do with the book, return, reholder, ask for partial refund etc? Thanks.
  16. @comicginger1789 wins the prize. It's a 7.0 with white pages. I'm really happy with this grade, and pretty surprised too!
