You made this up. Simply not true. However, the seller believed you knew what you were talking about. Again not true. You are now starting to become very loud and sound like you know what you’re talking about. -at this point, Holmes believes you and says he’ll honor your post. He wasn’t aware of this rule. (Which doesn’t exist) This is your best post in the thread because you said he can sell it to whomever he wants. With his rules, it is clear who the book should go to, the first as it turns out, and is proven, it was not you. Yet, at this point, you are still suggesting the book should go to you. -to be fair, at this point, you hadn’t seen Miraclemet prove that he took it before you, so you were still unsure. But you still chose to accept the book, even after seeing that it should rightfully go to Miraclemet. -your insistence to your view of the rules being correct is what made Holmes choose to sell the book to you. I’m sorry.

There’s no rule stating this.

Everyone’s rules are different. There is no standard set of rules, even though some folks still put “standard rules apply” in their threads. Nowhere did the seller say “first in the thread wins. He could take a screenshot of the PM with Miraclemet and prove by timestamp that he got it first. Or he could tell you nothing more and he sells the book to Miraclemet.
