  1. Big thanks to Doug for helping me out at New Orleans. Uncanny X-Men 150 by Claremont Uncanny X-Men 197 by Claremont (1 of 2 SS and the other is Stan Lee so really this is the only SS from someone that worked on the book) Uncanny X-Men 206 by Claremont
  2. Just buy a gold or silver sharpie. That is what everyone uses.
  3. Troy's awesome. Sold him a Man of Steel 18 CGC 9.8 and it was smooth as can be.
  4. I submitted 3 copies of 300 this past weekend for SS. Had David Michelinie sign them and a lot more books from that run of ASM. Here is the only one I took a pic of before sending them to CGC.
  5. Joey is also 1,000x better than CCS from my own personal experience.
  6. Well if nothing else comes from this thread, my ignore list sure has gotten a lot bigger.
  7. You know I am not one to normally get involved in this stuff but I do have to say that all this tap dancing that Rupp is doing is completely gutless. I have bought from many of his past sales threads but that is over with. Grow a pair of balls Rupp and take ownership of the fact that you up.
  8. Kamador2012 is Mykrofon I am pretty sure. I have his email and I have it as kamador2011.
  9. To me if a book being sent is as expensive as a Hulk 181 I would of definitely added Signature Confirmation. But that's just me. Sorry Jimmy The book was $250. I mention the hulk181 only because why would you trade a hulk 181 for a DC Presents 47 CGC 9.8? Jimmy $250 is enough to add Signature. PayPal encourages it. I don't know what DC presents 47 is. Sorry. Not much of a DC fan When did paypal demand signature protection for purchases of $250 USD or above or $330 Canadian? They gave him a refund within 20 minutes of me providing the tracking information. This is wildly_fanciful_statement. Money has been taken out of my account. Tracking: CX508239617CA I have had USPS update tracking as delivered a few times recently and then they did not deliver it for another 2-3 days.
  10. What's your con schedule? Probably Wonder Con Anaheim, and Long Beach. Gotcha. Closest west for me this year was Phoenix. Ever come east? No,too damn busy. One day I wanna go to NYCC or Chicago Con.I hear they're the two best. I guess it depends on your goals. NYCC likely attracts the biggest names but I can't say I have fun there. I'll likely skip this year. I want to focus on good buying shows. Amazing Arizona was good and I hear Heroes is also good. come to heroes for sure. You can hang out at the table that Adonis and I bought.
  11. Yup. You got me all figured out. I'm glad you agree. Whether you think you are being sarcastic, or you really are being sarcastic, or you a revese sarcascising your self and all of us using sarcastic, or you are legit, it's true. Whatever your problems with Jeff, you are not looking real good in this exchange. Maybe sit a few plays out. Point taken. Night all. Sean hit the nail on the head. I already had you on ignore GI just because you kind if come off like a insufficiently_thoughtful_person from time to time. Also your comment about Jeff not caring could not be farther from the truth. The guy sent me a 9.8 SS Wizard Ohio Walking Dead #1 just for the hell of it and he helped me get a sketch from Silvestri and did not ask for anything in return. He is just a good friend and likes to help his friends out.
  12. It's a fine line. How about taking it to the opposite extreme. If the book was sold with front and back cover scans and came back from CGC with "Pages Missing" would you feel the same way? It doesn't matter whether the seller "thought" or "knew" it wasn't stained. What matters is that the book had a serious flaw (in the buyers opinion) that was not included in the books description. I think the rules not mentioning the book be accurately described is a pedantic point. That's not the situation. He was selling a CGC 8.0 Blue, not a raw comic that might have missing pages. That's not relevant. A grade is just a number. It doesn't tell the whole story and what some see as a serious defect others might not. if you are as picky as they say this guy is about his books then don't buy the damn thing before the seller even has it hand. You would think someone as picky as that would want to know all the details before committing to such a large purchase.
  13. This right here. I just cannot understand how someone can make an agreement on a 16k book without seeing the final results. If you are too impatient to wait for the book to be in hand before you buy it then you should have to suck it up and stick with what you get.
  14. Claremont was $10 per CGC book at New York.
  15. Prowse will sign just his name if you ask. Dan and I did around 40 books for ss with prowse at dragon con 2012 and to make things go faster we had him just sign his name.
  16. It is just part of the Funeral for a Friend story after Superman died.
  17. They had to update it to handle the massive amount of cosplayers that they are now considering guest.
  18. Is this just a really long winded way of saying "Burn the Witch?" If not, expect it to fall on deaf ears. I think we can agree on the odds of anything calming the mob but I thought it was worth a try. The HOS is quickly becoming useless as well. I stopped using the "No HoS or Probies" in my sales threads. Although the list of boardies I will not accept any SS subs from has grown tremendously. In the SS forum, Menace said he never received my email. PM me your email and I can forward you his response to my email. Its not just about getting my refund. I am not going to let him bash me by saying he did not get my emails. He is showing no remorse and needs to man up and tell the truth for once. So I am still waiting for this communication to be produced... was this a lie? Who needs to man up and tell the truth here? Not sure if you've noticed which way the wind is blowing in this thread, but if I were you I wouldn't go stirring things up right now. For what it is worth, John is up north visiting him family for Christmas and does not have internet.
  19. It does look like he's working it out. That's a very good thing. However, since he solicited the sales and opportunities on this board, he probably shouldn't be upset that people are using the boards as the primary means of contact for him. If he started it here, he should organize it and complete it here. I understand that other means might be more convenient for him but it should be about what his customers expect and what works for them. Changing the venue, midstream, seems to have caused more problems than it solved in terms of communication. I did not change venue, I just simply can not keep track of things via PM. If people would use a single PM thread for all the info like I tried to make for each customer it would be great. But it didnt work, I would have 10 pms from one person over the time it would take to get one set of books back and then we had moved on to 5 months of other submissions. This got confusing so I asked to be reached by email from now on. I know for a fact other board facilitators ask for communication by email. I hear a lot about how I did not communicate here on the boards, but that is what was causing issues for me. So I chose not to use PM's as a business route. Wow, just wow.
