It is not a matter of throwing the creator under the bus. I have an op going on right now that has been going on for about 6 months. I am hounding the artist to get his in gear and get done but I also relay updates to those involved. As the facilitator it is up to you to find the updates. The fact that other people saw the scans on Angel's facebook and then posted them shows that you were not following along. You cannot just sit back and wait and hope that the artist gets back to you.

If I am not mistaken, other people had to go to Tony Daniel directly to get their books as well. I know Adonis had to contact Tony directly to get his sketch done.

I just find it funny that he replies to John the same night that he gets put on the probation list yet he never could get around to it in the 5 months when there was no threat hanging above his head. Like I said, HOS is probably too much but come on. If he cannot return an email, a pm (which he read), or a facebook message in 5 months the he really needs to give up on it all. Edit: Either way, I am tired of talking about the subject so if he goes then he goes and if not, oh well. Hopefully all of this will at least make people think twice before they decide to spend their money with him.

That is not dscott's last name btw. Also HOS is probably too much but I feel like you are making it too simple. Jake issued the refund only after being put on the probation list. He was in no hurry to do it during the 5 months and with the contact with John. I was at dinner with John tonight and saw the email Jake replied to that he "never" got. The guy is just a weasel. I really do not see how you can say that not giving the refund for 5 months is not a bad thing. Jake got the book back, told John he got it back, and then did not give the refund even after tries from John to get the money back. I am not the most organized person by far but come on. 5 months to issue a refund is just terrible. There really is no excuse for it other than the fact that Jake is just a terrible business person who needs to stop everything he is doing. I did a decent bit of facilitating at the end of the year (not on the level of most guys but a decent bit) and it really is not all that hard.

Medina has stated that he has been waiting for some time now to get the paper work from Jake. In the SS forum, Jake has taken to blaming the delay on CGC. According to him, a few people backed out so he has had to wait on approval to send in less than 10 sketches. All this approval takes is a call to Mike Balent or an email. Either way and he would have his reply the same day based on my past dealings with Mike. He is always willing to work with us to make sure nothing screws over the CGC collectors.

Here is what John (J Dub) was told by the artist himself Pretty bad when the artist is even saying that you will not follow through

the small label on top said 9.8 but the main label and the certification look up said 9.6. It was a mistake at the start I'm sure on jakes part. The problem comes when he says he got it back and never does anything about a refund or replacement

That may be true and it may be on the artists but this seems to be a constant problem with Menace. Lack of communication, lying about books being completed, missed deadlines. I'm sure many members can back me up here that it is not a new issues with him, nor has he shown any signs of trying to improving it. I know I'm not the only one who will no longer deal with him, I'm sure some others will chime in with similar experiences. I just want to add here that John (J Dub) knows how all of the sketch ops and SS things work. He is my CAW when I am facilitating a show so he knows the ins and outs of the SS world. Jake (menace) is a bad reflection on all facilitators and his track record speaks for itself. Maybe one day someone with some power will take a look at how he operates.

From my own collection that I have had for almost 20 years too. They are both a bit older than I am so I did not buy them new but they are newsstand copies which I like.
