I haven't been around much but have been checking out the selling forum a bit lately. What's with the shipping of slabs in medium flat rate boxes? Those have never allowed for enough protection on the ends and can result in a lot of cracked slabs.

Decent PQ doesn't mean this book has the integrity to escape damage by trying to press out the roll. The interior pages are not what makes this a difficult job. The spine is already splitting along the apex of the original fold and the top spine side of the book has been wet so even if the PQ is good the cover is likely dry and fragile. Considering the amount of visible rust on the staple, the paper around it is compromised as well. This book can be improved, but it's far from as simple as pressing out the roll, and well above the scope of what most people (think they) can do. There is a good possibility it would turn into 1.5 with a larger spine split and completely detached.

Word! Same responses on a couple of FB groups where I shared the information. More people belittling the victim and explaining how they'd do it better and different. Finally said the same thing "be on the lookout and/or share the info, otherwise move on."

I think it pulls the saddle and Phantom right off the horse. The horse escapes, the dog escapes, the man tied to the rope is a bit worse for wear but escapes, the tiger eats the Phantom and heroically accomplished "The Rescue"

All good, but I can usually receive my packages at home, and would rather not have to go to the FedEx location every time I have a package coming, but have, and would still like to be able to redirect packages when I need to. You have to have a photo ID when you pick them up at a location. Heck it's probably more secure that way. There could be any old, pale, skinny dude from Woburn standing in my drive way ready to scribble for a package and steal my goodies.
