  1. In trying to describe how a thread like this impacts us as fans of the hobby, anything I say will fall short of how important this run of comics is that you have put together. Congratulations on this accomplishment and thanks for sharing. We are in awe!
  2. My goal this year is to complete my Batman 2-10 run. I wish my goal for this was last September when this #2 sold for $15,600. I just bid $20,040 and got immediately shot down. Batman 2 CGC 6.5
  3. No. I didn't get any of the super rare ones.
  4. I recently purchased a collection with a few price variants.
  5. I've been on the boards for 18 years. I read a lot but rarely post unless I have some significant value to ad. This time I have no value to ad. I just wanted to make a post.
  6. This picture is from a collection out of Missouri back in 2012. Discovered by another dealer who sold me my Det 31 that was somewhere in there.
  7. It was either 1988 or 1989 when I had a booth selling at SDCC that I was asked if they could photograph a few of my comics for the Photo Journal. I was surprised when my name made the book in the list of contributors. I remember 2 comics specifically. Famous Funnies #17 & #18. Back then the 17 would be called NM, today's standards easily a 9.0. The only flaw was a 1/4" bindery tear at bottom of spine. The comic was stolen a few months later at the Bruce Schwartz LA show. Gone forever but located in 1999 on eBay auction. I messaged the seller asking how he got the comic book, but I didn't get the answer I was looking for. I guess I expected him to say I stole it from your booth at the LA comic show. Anyway, I never told him it was stolen years ago. If I ever see it again for sale, I will try and buy it. If anyone knows who owns it I would like to buy it. The LA shows at the Ambassador Hotel and later at the Shrine Auditorium were awesome in the 80's but thieves were everywhere.
  8. Hot Wheels were a big part of my childhood in 1970s. I have about 20 in my collection. These 3 are my favorites.
  9. What a bummer. I was happy for you. Hopefully this scammer gets caught. At least you know what it feels like to have a grail even if only for a couple days.
