  5. Great morning. Hard to explain the way that morning was. I think we all walked out of there content with the weekend and secure in our friendships. Looking back at how time has passed so quickly, how much has changed, and how unexpectedly it did makes me a little sad.
  6. Does anyone have a 9.6 Avengers 57 I can buy and have drop shipped to Comiclink? For the record:
  7. Now, I’m not here to get in the middle of a good spat between you two, but if you’re standing by that then we must be talking about a different group of people.
  8. Watson is probably giggling right now. You’re still paranoid about a secret society of Roy haters (The Hive) after all these years.
  9. Well, I don’t spend $75k at a show. I like to think I can get in early because I’m likable. I’m also not bumping butts with the likes of the cut throats over a new collection or the flippable and upgradeable books. I’m smart, I can wait till their done and do well in the left overs. If I can’t get in with a dealer pass, I’m not going. So my money (a lot of which is spent during regular floor hours) isn’t coming to the show at all. I can quickly add up a significant amount of people and money that would be missing from the floor if passes were all of a sudden restricted.
  10. I haven't been around much but have been checking out the selling forum a bit lately. What's with the shipping of slabs in medium flat rate boxes? Those have never allowed for enough protection on the ends and can result in a lot of cracked slabs.
  11. Always so welcoming and understanding. I remember when you were a misguided noob. At least you're not a noob anymore.
  12. That's the best you've got? You can do better little fella.
  13. Decent PQ doesn't mean this book has the integrity to escape damage by trying to press out the roll. The interior pages are not what makes this a difficult job. The spine is already splitting along the apex of the original fold and the top spine side of the book has been wet so even if the PQ is good the cover is likely dry and fragile. Considering the amount of visible rust on the staple, the paper around it is compromised as well. This book can be improved, but it's far from as simple as pressing out the roll, and well above the scope of what most people (think they) can do. There is a good possibility it would turn into 1.5 with a larger spine split and completely detached.
  14. Word! Same responses on a couple of FB groups where I shared the information. More people belittling the victim and explaining how they'd do it better and different. Finally said the same thing "be on the lookout and/or share the info, otherwise move on."
