  1. Thank you for being so helpful everyone! I do appreciate it as I didn't realize how drastic of an impact the surface scratches are on a holographic cover. Here is another shot of the scratches near blade's head I also was able to get a a shot of the scratches in the left sword as seen here. Side note it is a challenge trying to get a decent shot of surfaces scratches on these types of covers. Thanks again!
  2. Just hit 30 post count so I can finally sign up! Will send a PM with the filled out form momentarily
  3. Great to hear @ADAMANTIUM As I said I was a bit trepidatious about the copy as soon as I saw it. So thank you for sharing your experiences with the distorted holograms. It is reassuring to see your copy of X-force 25 as the blue is still that dark rich blue that isn’t the same as the regular copy I had as a child. Btw that’s a great fun collecting goal to have with all the distorted holos. I remember 11 year old me having my mind blown during the fatal attractions run. Thanks again!
  4. I want it to be haha but am not 100% sure on if it is a true distorted hologram. There is a slight greenish tint on the left edge from one angle but it’s a rich dark blue from ever other angle. I just posted looking for advise in the “Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?” Hopefully someone with better knowledge than I have can advise.
  5. Isn't that half the fun though! I guess if nothing it's a great problem to have haha.
  6. Man these are some killer pieces you did @FAKadar Sorry couldn't resist haha. Keep up the great work it's always a delight to see your work!
  7. I have to agree it does present quite nicely. Good to know about the book, will sleep on it for the night but may may be reaching out to the owner this weekend
  8. Friend is moving and knew I might be interested in some of his old collection. Here are a few from his mostly dreck box.
  9. Wow this is one epic set up you have @Iconic1s The way you have Cybor sups and Doomsday squaring up opposite Superman is such a great touch. Thanks for sharing your set up!
  10. Was able to add a piece of Ashley Wood's work from Spawn: Blood and Salvation.
  11. Reading the insights and breakdowns from @Beige on Wrexham has been a real eye opener and a heck of an interesting view into the true costs of what's on with the club and new owners. Thanks for taking the time to break it down for us who aren't familiar with the inner workings of a football club. It's appreciated!
  12. Hello everyone, I was wondering if I could get a little help with this copy of Blade #1. There is some scuffing and creasing on the cover and spine. In addition there is a fairly decent sized chip missing on the spine when looking at the back as seen here. Does anyone have any experience with having pressed holographic covers? Thanks in advanced for the grading advise!
  13. Hummmm now that I see it, that does look really nice with Frank Miller's signature and the yellow label helping the Daredevil title pop more. Is this from your PC? Ether way thank you for sharing!
  14. Hello everyone, I am wondering if I could get a little advise on this copy of Wolverine 75 as I am still getting the hang of grading and was curious in particular about this being a potential blue error. There is some creasing and color breaks in the spine in the upper left corner as seen here. In addition the hologram seems to have some cracking going on in the lower left section. Not sure if this is signs of trying to distort the hologram or just something that happens over time. Do any of you folks happen to know if that has much of an impact on the grading? When it comes to trying to identify if this is a blue hologram error is it all or nothing type deal? There is only a little green tint when seen from an angle in one direction as seen in the images here. I am including other angles of the hologram for comparison as it has a rich deep blue from every other angle. Any advise on if this is a true error copy or what the grade rang would be is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  15. I am really enjoying this idea of adding a copy of your birthday comic to your PC. I have only read this in a collected volume in the past. It may be time to add this to my collection for the fun of it!
  16. That's awesome, I was just in there this past Friday. I like the new location, it allows me to hit up yummy mummy and grab a treat for the wife haha. Thanks for the tip about That's Entertainment, I will make sure to check them out next time I am out that way!
  17. @universal soldierOh wow Bedrock Comics is the LCS I use the most. Hall of Comics is another good spot a little west of here. After moving outside of Boston it's nice to know there are some good shops around here to help fill this addiction haha. A new coworker was just talking about CLZ the other week and I had forgotten to look into it. If these are some of the fun visual extras included it might be worth checking out. The old excel spreadsheet gets a bit boring to look at.
  18. This is a very fascinating post indeed! It's quite fun to get a glimpse into someones life like this with the breakdown of how your collecting habits have changed throughout your life. Thanks for sharing!
  19. I am quite pleased with a higher grade than I was expecting after a good press. Thanks for the advise!
  20. Having the same problem here Mac w/ Firefox. Going back to profile and logging out and back in fixes things but only temporarily

  22. I came across Ashley Wood's prelim cover for "Hellspawn: The Ashley Wood Collection" trade paperback. Being a child of the 80's I have a lot of fond memories of the comics from the 90's especially Spawn. So finding this piece at an estate sale I had to jump on it. I am not a huge fan of the framing but will give it some time before I make the call to change it.
  23. I purchased a book from Cory and they made everything very easy. Great communicator and even better at securing books for shipping. I may be new but I will gladly vouch for him any day!
  24. That was my gut feeling about foil covers as well due to the printing and stock used. I'm glad to get some informative feedback on them for my own edification. Thanks!
  25. Thanks for all the info and explanation of how the damaged area effects the grade so much.
