  1. I'll be listing some books tonight Saturday 1/12.

In order to spice it up a bit, I'm going to list a book at a given price. Then I will drop that price until we have a ^^ or I hit a point where I decide to keep it. I know this has been done before but I intend to drop prices pretty quickly and keep things moving. A price drop could come in 10 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute, or longer. My goal is a complete sell-through and to keep it moving and have fun.

Books will be mostly my usual type stuff but there will be some nice HG Marvel Premiere/Iron Fists and Jungle Actions.

Starting around 8 Central give or take, basically during the Pats game.

Invite your friends! If you have any. :baiting:

hm will you be drinking before or after you price your books??

  2. I formally propose a 90-day waiting period from registration date, before being able to post a sales thread in the Forum Only selling forum. :sumo:

    Who seconds this motion?

90 days? Isn't that a bit harsh, David? hm I started selling books about a month or so after I joined. As far as I know, I haven't had any complaints.

And does this also include buying? I started buying books after being on the Boards only a couple of weeks...

My suggestion is 30 days waiting period (with active posting) for selling, and as far as NOOBs buying stuff in the Marketplace, it would be up to the discretion of the seller.

I can see your point; however, maybe what is needed is a thirty day waiting period for buying and a ninety day waiting period for selling. When you take into account that you are trusting someone with your money, I do not think that is unreasonable at all.

They would still be free to sell in the dealer marketplace right?

Yes, but isn't that more or less directing someone to an established web site or eBay?

I held a regular sale thread there soon after the split.

The rules of the forum only market were still being hashed out and I didn't want to bother with the headache.

Maybe we just should have a thread that outs all the bad buyers and sellers, deals gone bad, etc??

    hm hm

  3. I would like to 'discuss' my soon to start sales thread in these here forums.

Greggy has a date with his personal trainer and I was wondering if anyone else is even online? You don't need to buy anything....But I would appreciate it if someone else can step up and insult my books occasionally. It makes it fun for me and an excuse to get another drink.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Great, another crappy sales thread :makepoint:

  4. This may or may not be the place to say this but...eff it.

For all those who bought from me over the last few weeks, all monies recieved and all books shipped. (Aloha, you may need a crane..u got 2 boxes coming).

    The slate is clean!

hm Does that mean I should start a new sales thread? hm

Only if you've got enough booze in to get through it. (thumbs u

I have never known him to not have enough. (shrug)

    Just checked....all good! (thumbs u

Plus I have a cold so my resistance is weak!

    Resistance is futile :sumo:

    Drink up and then post!!

BTW, got the books, and thanks for the freebie!! :applause:
