  1. Great to hear there is some "life" in the Valiant books. Hopefully if the movies are any good (Most important) then perhaps Valiant comic sales will increase for your store. Nice to know Valiant checks up with you to see how their books are selling. All the best on your store.
  2. Mercy, I had no idea Felix the Cat had been around so long. Very informative.
  3. Never thought you would see something like that in that area...Too cool!
  4. Do you have any Valiant comics on your shelves for sale? I would think only a few key issues would sell in 9.4+ and mostly the rest would not but having a nice Comic book store with a lot of foot traffic might facilitate more demand for Valiants regardless of series?? Any customers trying to sell you Valiant books? I always thought the pre-Unity books were really great reading and some if graded in 9.6/9.8 actually are worth a little bit of money. Even most of the post Unity books from the first series are great reading. Is there a need for your store to list the 2nd/3rd series of Valiant books? Just curious as to what the market is for your store when it comes to Valiant comics. BTW, Your story is most informative...Never even thought to consider a lot of what you talked about in considering "IF", "When" and "Where" to open up a brick and mortar comic book store.
  5. This is really great reading and information for setting up a Comic book store.
  6. Too bad I don't have 2K. I would love to own this really nice looking book.
  7. Yes, I bought one box off of a HotFlips ebay listing. I only have just a little over a handful of Magazine CGC books.
  8. To me if you buy comics and keep them regardless of what of condition you're trying to preserve and you continue to buy comics, then you're a comic collector. Seems easy to me to "know" what a comic collector is. Your comment above seems like "Hair Splitting" to me. Oh, and I hope we are just having a discussion with points of disagreement based on what we "think" is a comic collector. It's all cool RMA.
  9. Look! Here it is...There were exactly 877 comic collectors in the US in 1964...No! make that 876...One just died at the ripe old age of 97 but he did manage to finish reading the first series of X-O Manowar.
  10. All I can think of is I wish I would have not sold several books years ago. They have really gone up in value. I'm buying them back slowly but surely for quite a bit more because I miss them being in my collection.
  11. Is there anything left from this feeding frenzy? Super great prices on all these books.
  12. Same here. My wife thought I was crazy, but after selling a few comics that I was planning on selling anyway to fund a vacation..I've never heard another criticizing word from her. She still doesn't understand it all but she's accepted it.
  13. I’ve got a few raw copies of X-O Manowar Gold 1/2 but they are not 9.8. Nowhere near. Yes I’ve been searching for one for years myself. One just sold on eBay a few days ago. I missed it.
  14. Can't find X-O Manowar 1/2 Gold in CGC 9.8, Moon Knight 13, 14, 24 & 25 in CGC 9.8...Just tough to find for me anyway.
  15. Should be for WWBN 32 only. I think the topic sided tracked a little talking about why the price for #32 is so high and there is no movie/TV in the works, just a bunch of talk.
  16. SUPER KUDOS to Shane for some books I bought from. Books look really nice! Fast shipping, great packaging and just really nice to deal with. I certainly hope we can do another transaction soon.
  17. If you could use it on your mobile devices, I might consider it but for now I prefer the print version.
