  4. Thanks for your compliments everybody On the vertical stacks, I do NOT alternate the spines. Like Silver Surfer says, I use fullbacks and double board the books and encase each one in Super Gold Archival Mylars. My collection cannot ever hold a candle to BZs' but our collections are of an entirely different nature. I only have about 25 pulps in my personal collection. The crux of my collection however are Golden Age Canadian Whites from the second world war.
  5. OK folks... A friend of mine, Ron Hobbs, a professional illustrator, provided a piece for the Shuster awards, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Superman. He used Teen-age Romances # 42 as a template for an original piece of art featuring Superman. He is now offering commissions, based on Baker covers, featuring characters or people of your choice for $150.00. Images will be 11" X 15" big. Contact Ron and say what you want. He will provide a sketch. Once you are happy with the sketch, Pay-pal the payment. He will finish it in ink and ship it off. Ron can be reached @ i_ron_ical@yahoo.ca. 17. Not at all. I have a VG/FINE copy and know of 2 other copies extant of which one is in the possession of Al Stoltz of Basment comics and just like myself, he aint selling his copy either. Thus FOUR copies I have seen of this book in the past 2 yrs.
  18. This clown approched me about 4 years ago offering me one of the rare British EC comics published by Arnold in the 1950's and wanted me to trade him an early More Fun DC title, or the like, and he told me he did NOT have a scanner, so I could not see the British EC I told him to hit the road and smelled a scam..... I bet he never had the EC book and would have gladly had me ship out the early DC and of course his book would have never materialized. The one thing that stood out is how horrible his spelling was in our email correspondance, as maybe he was pretending his English was poor. What an A@@hole! Sorry for you loss Comicnut Cheers, Stephen Lipson
