  1. I would respectfully differ. I think that unless the market for all comics slackens considerably that the base price for the Big 2 (action 1, tec 27) will be 100K for anything complete and at all presentable. I think the buyers for this and the comiclink copy both got pretty good deals considering the longterm, and while there may be other deals for this and tec 27 that come along, a buyer can't count on copies appearing the way they can for lesser books. How long can a book with PCB pages last? I used to not care about PQ, but after holding a few books and unintentionally flaking pieces off just by turning the pages, this book could fall apart in the holder. Not likely, but possible.

  3. Nope. The value and desirability are already high.
  4. Um, thanks guys. But you couldn't do this in order. My fav (cover), and wish to one day reacquire: NA 18
  5. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy. I offered a trade of drawing a picture of him in a courthouse defending Flash against Zoom, but was declined. So, I'm happy with my Bob-a-loo copy.
  6. This was just a drive-by posting...........but thanks Maybe you can be enticed. This is easy... I'd take the 7.0 so I can get the cash as well and buy more comics.
  7. They sure are shiny. Must be hard to see them go.
  8. Since I just posted this in General, I figure here is good too...
  9. Good idea for a thread. Thanks for the inside pics. I Googled Bothwell and it appears he did ok drawing his entire life in Florida.
  10. Hey you still got your 33? You were selling it right, didnt know if you upgraded? Yes I do. (thumbs u I think that even a half-point upgrade would put the book well out of my price-range. I had listed it with an option for "best offers"; but decided to keep it. Ya probably the best option plus i dont know why you would want to sell yours, the cover where batman is at is perfect with great colors. Plus a friend of mine bought a 1.5 for 7K i think so they are up there I couldn't agree more. Seeing low-grade copies sell that high makes me feel very fortunate for picking up my copy when I did. I was actually quite surprised (and told him so myself) when Gator estimated a 3-4k FMV for Tec #33's in 1.0;because like you, I have heard of instances where copies around that range have sold for respectably more. It's a book on the rise IMO; but I may have just a dash of bias on the subject. I agree with you and i kick myself in the everyday for not buying the 4.0 SP for 5200 on comicconnect a couple months ago That was such a incredible deal IMO. Glue on the spine was the only form of resto if memory serves me correctly? I think this is the one.
  11. Congrats. It looks almost like a double-cover.
  12. Nice pick-ups. I see you got an Infantino Flash as well. Congratulations.
  13. This is the closest thread I could find about Superman... In honor of the "do you read your GA comics" thread, I read a some DC archives with my son tonight. I didn't remember much since I haven't read them since I bought them a few years ago. Anyway, my 9 year old laughed at the Luthor stories. Not because they were funny, but, the story just wasn't believable. One of the stories, Supes accepts Luthors challenge to prove his strength is better than Luthors brain. My son said if Superman used his brain, he could have just punched Luthor and taken him to jail.
  14. Something's wrong with the your software putting the same book in twice.
  15. Sure about that? He's the only guy I know of who owns one... It's the only copy I've ever seen. Harder to find then the Flash 106. That's why I keep it secure in the briefcase, then in a safe with guard dogs posted in front.
  16. Back to scarcity of 106... I keep all my "scarce" comics in a attache case for safe keeping. I decided to pull out the case as I wasn't sure if I had a 106. I opened the case and was relieved that my small collection of scarce comic books included a Flash 106.
  17. Damn Jay that is one cool, you could sell prints.(hint, hint) Or, you could just PM me and I'll send you the PSD file. (roughly 60MB)
  18. So, 3 or 4 years ago I got a Flash sketch from Carmine Infantino at SDCC. I scanned it and put it together with the origin panels from Showcase 4 to create this poster I now hang in the house.
  19. Kudos to Bill for the Marvel Tales that are slowly turning my son into a Marvel Zombie.
  20. That 127 is nice. Congrats. Not to rain on the parade, but what's up with the 2 left corners and this being a 9.4? I don't buy high grade, so I don't see enough 9.4s, but I would think the corners should be sharp.
  21. Kudos to Dark Knight for my upgraded Flash 109. Nice job packing.
