Before Carmine, there was the great Will Eisner who would incorporate typography into the cover. I think 174, in that style, in color, is a classic.

I would stick with the IH181. Both characters are great, but if you are considering growth potential, I think the 181, has more potential. It's a first appearance and there is a bigger market of copies that change hands frequently. Now if it was an AF15, then I switch sides.

I've always been happy to have a copy so never gave a thought to upgrading. If only I did 20 years ago as well.

@comicparadox Thank you for the smorgasbord of gifts. I was not very helpful with my request, but my Secret Santa came through with flying colors. First, Avengers wrapping paper and a nice Secret Santa tag on top was a great start. Inside Beer Pong and a Santa Tumbler which I was planning to use with some tea tonight, but was borrowed already by my daughters. Next a Wolverine trade for some New Years reading. Then, a comic display case which I quickly used with the Immortal Hulk comic and displayed at my desk. Finally, my official membership in the Mickey Mouse club. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
