  1. Nice Funny Stuff shot. I wish there was a TBP for reading.
  2. I'd go with the Batman. But, if a showcase 4 were the comparator...
  3. That Planet cover (to me) is a classic. I'd go with that one.
  4. Congrats Rick. Looking forward to seeing that Adv 40. Hmmm, I'm starting to sell my BA and SA to pay for my GA habit. Maybe, I should trade my Batman 227 for the real thing.
  5. FF71. Original Kirby in his prime. 'nuff said
  6. Congrats on the Action run. Now for #1
  7. I'm not really a cap fan (although I do like this Hitler cover), so the ASM is an easy choice for me.
  8. I'll take the Batman. (I already have the Flash raw 8.0 or 8.5)
  9. Thanks all. With GA, I may have to start focusing on earliest issue I can afford. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to 2007.
  10. This is my first year buying GA, so, following is my entire GA collection. Before GA, I finished my SA Flash run and a my bronze DC #1's. So, this coming year, I'm focusing on more DC #1's, cool covers I like and a few Flash Comics with covers I really like. (Thanks to fellow board member Batman_fan for the WF)

If I want a book, but not real bad, then I offer what the minimum acceptable bid is. The worst that can happen is a decline. In which, if I want the book, I can up my bid again.
  12. Thanks to Dave for joining the boards. I hope you stay and contribute. Aside from "petty squabbles" as described here, I would like to say thanks to Steve, Stephen and Brad for their other posts. I have learned a lot and do appreciate their comments in other discussions here. I'm sure once this settles down, there will be some interesting discussions in the GA boards.
  13. Thanks Bob. I've read that article a few times and have enjoyed it.. Next time it is published in Overstreet, it would be really cool if there was a timeline horizontally across the pages with the highlights.
  14. True. As I learn more on these boards and my various reading, it is interesting to learn how the early publishers started with "funnies" reprints then quickly moved into other storylines. Then, after 10, 20 or even 100 issues, More Fun, Famous Funnies, etc become known for the primary character, regardless of the comic book name.
  15. Exactly. Despite the rarity of the other book, I would want to keep the TEC in my collection.
  16. Awesome shot. What's up with the blue cover? DC run out of ideas for red/black/yellow?
  17. Hawkman covers are the best. I wouldn't say that...but, a fire breathing dragon, that calls for a
  18. That's a great cover....very american south seas/hawaiian vacation... You guys constantly amaze me with the classic 1937-1945 books you pull out of your ....................collections. Yes. Great cover. Ummm, if you ever want to sell...(look at my signature )
