And that is the intent for now.

My guess: those rumors of Dave Bautista playing King Shark in Suicide Squad may have been off by one detail.

    hm

I'm really impressed with Buatista's transition. He is a wicked actor!

I enjoyed the first Aquaman, except being thrown out of our seats (Actually they were somebody else's seats but they were empty for the first 20 minutes)

Comic books are a storytelling medium. Since the beginning of organized fandom, essentially in the '60-'65 period, it has been held that the first appearance of any character is in a storytelling context. There have been virtually no exceptions to this (More Fun #51 is a fairly famous one, and even it has caveats) until the last five or so years.

"Ads", "previews", and the like are not "first appearances." The first clue is in the name: "ads"..."previews"...etc.

Those who try to push these things as "first appearances" do it almost always because they have a financial motive.

    Justice League: The Darkseid War

Steppenwolf returns to Apokolips via boom tube - to Darkseid's feet. Before his groveling can even begin, he's killed by omega beams. He takes a very brief look through the tube to see a triumphant Justice League - taking quick note of the planet he's about to invade before the portal closes.

The Flash and Superman are finishing their race. With Kent in the lead, Allen turns on the afterburners, unknowingly opening up a time rift via the Speed Force. He ends up in the reality that Bruce Wayne envisioned in Dawn of Justice. It reaches a point in which he encounters Dark Superman. He recognizes Allen as a man he knows is dead, and chases him across the globe, where another rift is exploited. After entering a new and worse reality, he realizes how and why this is happening, and eventually sends the message to Batman as seen before. After the deed is done, he returns to a familiar world, with an unfamiliar and youthful Batman (and a long-retired Bruce Wayne).

Wonder Woman returns to Themyscira to learn more about the war with Uxas - discovering that Steppenwolf is only the beginning to a bigger threat. She prays to gods that no longer exist, training to hone and perfect her New God powers, and leaves with nothing but advice and a heed to stay away from the island to honor the Queen and keep them off of the modern radar.

Aquaman receives a visit from the Martian Manhunter. A legend known to the Atlanteans. Familiar with Steppenwolf and Uxas, he warns of the coming danger. Arthur requests his brother's help in defending the world, which he declines, because of his spite for the walkers and his thought that Darkseid will not threaten the oceans. Upon returning to the surface, he's transforms into General Swanwick.

Batman does some Mother Box stuff with Cyborg under the Hall of Justice. A couple of Green Lanterns (Jordan and Stewart) show up. Shazam shows up. :censored: hits the fan. Alexander Luthor forms an Injustice League. I got bored after that last paragraph.

    No Deathstroke?

My younger daughter was remarking how spoiled her nieces were yesterday. I had to remind her that she did alright as a kid too. I put away a lot of her favorite toys over 25-30 years ago. Her, I and her husband decided to pull them out of the garage where I had stored them. Was fun watching them rediscover their childhood. A lot of you guys might remember some of this stuff. There is some more we didn’t get to. Mostly original Spawn, Ghost Busters and Simpsons stuff. Some old LEGO sets as well. I sure wish my parents had kept MY stuff...

Anything collectible or worth anything here?

So, years back, I had bought a Runaways #1 (2003) raw pretty cheap, had it graded, and it came back an 8.0. I always thought that was too low, and decided it had some interior flaw that I could not now see as it is encapsulated. I figured I'd wait a while, see if the series went anywhere, and sell it as-is, probably for a loss. Today, I was looking at my 3 remaining CGC books, Runaways #1 being one of them, and noticed that the info is wrong on the label, it's as if CGC got the label mixed up with a 2015 version of #1. So now I am sure the grade isn't right, either.

What I am wondering is, should I crack it out and re-sub it, or will CGC re-do this for me since it was their mistake? It has been so long since I had it graded that I am afraid to even bring this up without some sound advice, and this is where I turn to you, CGC forum.

What should I do? Is this even worth my time?

Help me, good CGC forum, you're my only hope!

Hopefully you get that straightened out.

Btw, 'rare' is a far more overused and abused word than grail is. I love it when I look on ebay and some idgit who clearly doesn't know their azz from their elbow lists a commonly found comic, describes it as rare (with gratuitous exclamation points) and puts a price on it that's at least 10-20 times what it's worth.

    Exactly....

It's "rare" because nobody wants it.

I'll reiterate: Darkseid is DC's "greatest villain" in power and scope.

The Joker isn't a threat to Superman, who is DC's "greatest" hero.

    I agree!

The scope of Jokers villainy is pretty much Gotham city.

Darkseid from my understanding is a menace throughout the DC Universe as is Thanos in Marvel.

I think it would be safe to say, despite the historical significance of villains ie Green Goblin, Joker, Kingpin. the more a villain branches out and spreads his web of villainy over the universe, the greater the threat the villain is. Just my opinion.

Also regarding the question, I'm excited to see Eternals in theaters. I don't know much if anything about New Gods.

Something not lining up with your personal preferences doesn't make it a "bad argument." It's merely your personal preference.

What...? We should be forced to interact with people we don't want to interact with...? Why are you introducing politics to the discussion...?

Great. Again, that's your personal preference and opinion, and good that it works for you. I'm sure the many members who DO use the function successfully don't agree with you. I'll make mention that this is NOT a "debate site", and debates are controlled here.

This isn't about the uniform implementation and enforcement of rules. This is about individual interaction. An individual shouldn't be forced to go elsewhere simply because there are certain people they don't want to interact with here. You don't need to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Regardless of how it may sound to you, those aren't the issues.

    Various places on the board.

No, obviously, because that would be likes left on other people's posts...not yours. And my request is only about controlling likes on your own posts.

    Makes perfect sense to me
