  1. Love the Dead Milkmen reference…if there was one with the title of this commission.
  2. I got in an 8 1/2” x 11” Baroness commission by Simon Bisley that was 2 years in the making (but was worth the wait):
  3. Personally never met Alex as I have only communicated with him via e-mail but he seemed very friendly and receptive. And a big thanks for helping to convince him to do more traditional artwork! Love this piece he did for me as well as the Vega he did a few years ago.
  4. It’s been a bit since my last commission but I got in an 11” x 17” Baroness commission by Alex Ogle a couple of days ago:
  5. No problem! I wanted to give it some time during Comic Art Live but I assumed (correctly it seems!) that other people would be interested in it as well once the event went live to non-CAF members as it would not last long. So, it was a bit more than I wanted to pay for it but overall I am glad I jumped on it to add to my collection of second, third and fourth string villains.
  6. I got in my first Comic Art Live purchase today. I added to my list of Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition minor villains with this Daredevil B-lister, The Owl: And as it appears in the comic:
  7. I’ve been meaning to get another cover homage commission as well as a commission from former Iron Man artist, Bob Layton so I decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and got this 11” x 17” piece from him: The original Iron Man #50 cover:
  8. Really? That is very interesting. I thought I was the only one with a Vega theme.
  9. I usually just get my own commissions but I don’t mind checking out others if they are excellent. I appreciate the extra look out. Thank you very much!
  10. I got in another Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition villain page...this time it’s B-lister (maybe C-list) Mr. Hyde (with an obvious lack of bladder control): And as it appears in print: According to Mike Burkey (who I purchased it from), apparently this page was light-boxed from John Romita Jr.’s pencils and inked by Josef Rubinstein who must have added the puddle as I have seen the pencils for this page on CAF and the puddle does not appear on there. I guess Joe was feeling humorous while inking that day...
  11. It’s been a while since I got a commission in but the drought has finally been broken with this 12” x 14” Baroness watercolor piece by Ron Randall:
  12. I got in a 1993 G.I. Joe #139 Page 1 that I acquired from Bechara at Nostalgic Investments (thanks for the generous payment terms!). This is my first page 1 in my collection and hopefully not my last. It’s a great action splash and it includes an awesome hooded Cobra Commander and a great Zarana. There is a third generic character as well and while I would have loved another name Cobra member (the Baroness) or even a Cobra trooper but this is an extraordinary page to have as a first page 1 (in my humble opinion).
  13. This is indeed sad news. I enjoy his art style very much.
  14. I got in a 7” x 10” Baroness/Vega commission by Brad Guigar:
  15. I got in my next 11” x 17” Baroness/Vega cover homage from Artboy99. This time it is an homage to Iron Fist #10: And the original:
  16. The Hulk with the spiky shoulder is World War Hulk, I believe. I don’t know the other Hulk...
  17. Great work, B-Cart! And congratulations to all the winners as well as the participants!
  18. My commission themes are The Baroness from Cobra (of G.I. Joe A Real American Hero fame) and Vega (from Capcom’s Streetfighter II video game).
  19. I got in an 11” x 17” Baroness commission by Billy Tucci:
  20. Yup, this year was more difficult to narrow down my unpublished entries as I now had a full year of collecting commissions. It was very difficult!
  21. Published: 1991 Doctor Strange #31 Page 30 by Larry Alexander (penciller) and Tony DeZuniga (inker)
