  1. Got some fun, expensive, Pre-Robin Tecs for sale in the marketplace. Cruise on over and take a peek: Walk don't run as we don't want any acccidents occuring Get them while you can
  2. You could if you really wanted to ? Methinks you like the thrill of the chase rather than the holding of the book. I tend to agree
  3. George, Those are my books. Long story short, my wife is losing her job (she is a research chemist for Pfizer) and, with a kid on the way, our finances will be getting very tight, so I am selling my entire set to shore up our finances and put us in a better situation. I was not planning on selling my collection until I was much older but life had other ideas. It was a thrill putting it togther and is bittersweet to watch them go. It is a complete run from 1-514 with all of the annuals and three of the Giant-Size issues. ComicLink will also be selling my TOS 49 and ST 120 and others. Sorry to hear this Casey. Family priorities are always more important than funny books and you will always be able to build a collection up later with your kid. I often think its the thrill of the chase that drives us collectors on. Your collection should do extremely well at CL - perfect place for it
  4. I have been looking through the CL auction previews. There is a fantastic run of X-Men in the upcoming Feb Featured auction (not mine). X-Men were the books I grew up with and I always regretted selling my run (though nowhere near the grade of some of the books listed or here). Very tempted by a few. Just recently bought a reader set of issues (46 odd between 1 and 67) and I am enjoying re-reading them.
  5. more relative to Abramohvich is that he has wasted over $1BN on his foootball club (Chelsea)
  6. 3333333333 Honestly what is the point of your post? The book has so much ground to cover that I'm sure that they want to do a proper job the first go around. Do you honestly think that they will read your post and say to themselves, "gee we better get this out now because you might go to the library instead of buying a copy" Please! Not to mention...what's wrong with fruit cake and socks? He is 26
  7. and of course you would have to have seperate entries for robojo, comic-keys and Hammer as they are different people
  8. Been called worse.....plus i got this from you many moons ago...jb I'd love to spend some time idling through your collection
  9. Couple of other priorities at the moment.
  10. Pleasure doing business with you as always Andre. (thumbs u
  11. I thought doctors were supposed to be top of the vaccination list.
  12. This still makes me cry. I would have found a way to get the cash to upgrade my copy to that beaut. *sigh* Several people said the same thing. I'm thinking I should have offered it via a time-sharing arrangement. The more I look at it the more I wish I had bought it

  14. Nope. Was just making time payments. This is the same book...first time I have held it. :applause:
  15. Imran - you are on fire. I definetly won't have the best pre-robin Tec run in the UK if you keep this up. Nahh George, I've seen your books in this thread, I have no chance, anyway, nearly done for the year, spent far too much, speaking of which soon Your #38 would be an upgrade for me but of course it isn't a pre-Robin
  16. Imran - you are on fire. I definetly won't have the best pre-robin Tec run in the UK if you keep this up.
  17. just so you know, that book will likely resub as a 5.0 when I bought it, it was real old label and I showed it to certain folks that felt a straight resub would benefit it... never really cared about the number, but it is a 5.0 in 4.5 clothing (thumbs u It's a beautiful book and the one I was most reluctant to let go. Andre - you are a gentleman who I have enjoyed doing business with and hope to share a beer with soon.
  18. I had nothing to do with it! I did not turn him over to the mods. Stop repeating lies I'm afraid my dear fellow that the cricketing metaphor was obviously not within your grasp otherwise you would have seen it as rather accurate. I see no point teaching an american cricket, I suggest you go back to playing rounders or whatever you call it. He's a Diamond duck geezer. (thumbs u Fixed that for you (thumbs u
