Always shocking how common it is for sellers to refuse to do this. I get it, Ebay's TOS, etc but man that company has done me wrong enough in the past that...
Also because people trying to circumvent the ToS are often scammers. My sister got burned on a car purchase that way.

Was that a commission?
Paul Smith puts several of these up on his web site sporadically throughout each month, usually in the middle of the night. His price is clearly too low for the market since they are typically gone in minutes. I happened to log on at the right time and got this one, not even knowing how lucky my timing was.

As they did with Ms Marvel who’s now returning as a mutant The common thread here is that Ms Marvel and Moon Knight both have Disney+ shows . With the Punisher (who had a Netflix show), the comics didn’t kill-kill him, but I think Disney-Marvel want to strip him of his status quo that made them uncomfortable. Happy 50th anniversary, Frank.
Are they rebooting Kamala with powers to match the "solid light" she has on the Disney+ TV show? Those were taken from another character, Sapheara, a hearing-impaired heroine who appeared in a one-shot that Marvel published in 2014 for the Children's Hearing Institute, to teach kids about their cochlear implants. Here's the splash from that, to bring the topic back around to original art.

When artists sell their pages, books get broken up from the get-go, sold to different people piecemeal. This is unfortunate from an artistic perspective since each narrative was intended to be taken as a whole. But the economics of the industry ensure that it almost always happens that way and is both difficult and expensive to reverse.
Have you ever been able to reunite pages from a single issue, especially consecutive pages? I just brought back together two Geof Isherwood/Ricardo Villamonte pages from the 1986 Marvel space pirate series Swords of the Swashbucklers -- a DPS, no less, which amazes me that it was separated between the two artists in the first place, but that's what Marvel's randomization system caused back then.

Considering how much lower Comic Connect's fees are than Heritage's fees, I am happy to wait an extra week or two for the art to arrive. I agree that they should wait until the end of the auction to start sending invoices, though. Part of the issue is that the auction also includes their standing collection of "buy it now" pieces. In fact, in their most recent auction, four of the six pieces I purchased were in that latter category.

It would be great to share the images with the collecting community, but as this was the 1st (and now, 2nd) time this has happened, I did not take any pics. Thus, no images to share
However, I will be sending a list of the stolen OA to all of the OA dealers today and I have already taken pics of the next batch of OA that I will be consigning.
Take photos of all your art, whether it's being consigned now or not. At some point, someone will need that information.

I got my Comic Connect shipment today. It was a little delayed because the initial invoice did not include shipping costs, so I had to pay that two weeks after I thought I was done. It would be a good idea if they didn't make the invoice payable until it is complete.

I would appreciate that very much, thanks 🙏
I posted it on Facebook. The very last entry I think should have read "Spider-Man #257" not "Spider-Man #7." Do you have a CAF Gallery? You could move these pieces into a "stolen pages" gallery that would make it easy to consult in the future.

Horrible. Seems to me that Heritage and USPS should be putting out a warning about this until the culprit is found. You should post about this on the Original Comic Art Collectors group on Facebook since it has far more members than we have here. Or I can do it for you if you don't use Facebook.

that's a lot of pages...surely this will be a hard theft to fence...I hope the community is on the lookout for you!
I hate to say that discovering they were fenced is the best case scenario for a fragile collectible that can't be easily sold at the local pawn shop.

I really like the colors on this one. Some Frazetta (even the famed Egyptian Queen) have incredible anatomy and composition but come across as pale. This one has that bright flash of crimson cape, and the main figures (skeleton, tentacle, or human) are readily discernible. If Halperin gets tired of it, he can look me up!

Was the Rudy DPS panel squiggle for the layout intended to mean something?
Other pages in the issue have this same border technique and make it clear that this is Cyclops' optic blasts going crazy. You can see his face on the left side of this page, for instance. But he didn't make it onto the page I posted previously.

While I am not new to OA collecting I do have a couple questions.
I am currently looking for a matching pencil only and separate inked page, what's the best way to locate these type of pages? ebay is sparce and most of the OA sites don't list them together.
What are the different types of pages? I have a panel page, half splash, full splash, title page, an end page, double page spread, double page splash, cover page, unpublished page and a preliminary sketch page. What am I missing?
I would also like to get a color guide and matching OA page, where would be a good place to get these together?
Pencil and ink pages are difficult to find together since the pencilers and inkers tend to each keep their own pages. Likewise color guides kept by the colorist.
Other types of pages: Covers, pin ups, patch pages, lettercols, frontispiece, table of contents.

Why would you plan on doing this convention right in the middle of Disney property - makes absolutely no sense to poke the bear or mouse in this case.
For our hobby I hope this does not backfire.
Bill Cox's convention site is actually next to Universal Studios park, not on Disney property. I believe January was chosen because it's a down time for the resort business, being generally too cold to swim. I took my family to Disney last February, and we it was so cold we had to go to the Norway section of EPCOT to buy wool sweaters and ski hats!

I did this as well with a cover I got recently from a crowdfunded comic book. Shading was added digitally to the main character, probably by the colorist. I had the original artist add similar shading to the paper version and am quite happy with the results. He is going to do the same for me for the next cover in the series.

Does this change make a difference? Two guys in LA would love to know.
I know you're being facetious... but yes, at least for me it makes a difference whether the artist is repairing damage done by time to his own work, or whether someone else is doing paste-ups onto the pages.
