  1. I like and appreciate Tony's art but never enough to seek it out. Maybe because he's very much associated with Batman now, not a character or universe I seek much art from. I actually still associate him with his earlier Image/Top Cow stuff, like The Tenth, F5, Witchblade. His style was distinct then, maybe a little more T&Aish. As far as commissions, don't know what it says about me or the market that I actually thought his prices when I saw them were not bad at all ($500-ish with decent detail and backgrounds?).
  2. About every two months or so, sometimes more often. The last one was on 4/27.
  3. He seems to be a fine arts/street art guy so this is probably a comparative bargain to most of his work.
  4. Actually, Bachalo does announce these drops if you sign up for his e-mails via the site, but again, you basically have to get on that e-mail within 3-5 minutes of it arriving in your inbox to have any chance at any of the art in the drop.
  5. Bachalo often has a Magik sketch in his semi-regular art drops, but he never announces them and you have to be quick.
  6. Both of the below, the artists said it was their first time drawing the character.
  7. Maybe the bidder thought they were getting Deathstroke too. The new listing makes sure to emphasize it is *only* Huntress.
  8. I don't really remember how much I paid for this Leonard Kirk Agents of Atlas page, but definitely not more than $250-300. Makes me smile every time I see it.
  9. I've had a few dealings with Spencer, nothing recently. His e-mail communications can come off as terse but he came through on all the transactions I've had with him, which ranged from art purchases, purchases during the sales, and a commission he facilitated for me.
  10. Seems like Fiona Staples is "leaving a lot of money on the table" by being digital only...
  11. Geez, may as well wait for Bachalo's next art drop. Seems like he always has a Strange piece or two, often with similar composition.
  12. Pepe Larraz / R.B. Silva - I lump these guys together for a couple of reasons - they are both successors to the Stuart Immonen style in their own unique ways and they both worked on the House of X / Powers of X duology from earlier this year that upended the X-Universe. It's a shame both seem to mostly work in digital. Russell Dauterman - another mostly digital guy - his work on Thor with Jason Aaron over the past few years was very striking. Timothy Green II - I'm not sure why he doesn't get more work. Perhaps his most famous work was on the precursor to the modern Guardians of the Galaxy in Annhilation: Conquest - Star-Lord. This was the book that put together Marvel's dynamic duo, Rocket and Groot, for the first time ever (and shout out to me for owning the first on panel team-up of Rocket and Groot)
  13. I was fortunate to meet Michael at Pittsburgh Comic Con at 2006 - true gentleman and very generous with his time. I didn't know if he was doing sketches or commissions but lined up early anyway just in case. I got the Black Cat sketch below. Fast forward to this year and Frank at Aspen Comics asked for a scan so they could make it into a variant cover for the new Black Cat series.
  14. His Spidey work sure seems to fetch high prices, since that's the Larsen work I'm guessing most Larsen fans are going for. Also doesn't help that the fire wiped out a lot of that supply.
  15. I'm a 90s guy so... Bagley - Amazing Spider-Man page (specifically the ones here, but would take the "right" page from the pre-Clone Saga era) Larsen - Amazing Spider-Man #347 page. This is the first comic book I ever read, so would love to get a page from it. I know some of it is out there. Bachalo - Generation X page. Bachalo's art really blew my mind for what superhero comic book artwork could look like in the 90s, so would love to get a great page from the pre-#25 issues (before his artwork went a little off the rails IMO). JG Jones - Black Widow page Madureira - Astonishing X-Men page with Blink. Love the character and artist and I think Madureira was in his prime around this time.
