  1. New painting tonight. I figure everyone else is painting Wonder Woman right now, why not? Gouache on 17x14 paper What I really like about gouache is the amount of detail you can get with it. If you saw this in person the eyes are loaded with detail.
  2. Here's a Frankenstein's monster I did, but it sold pretty quick so I don't have a better photo of it. Acrylic on canvas. I don't remember the exact size but it's not very big.
  3. Here's one I did yesterday Gouache again. (The Bardot above was actually only the second time I had ever used gouache. The first one is a quick simple little Elephant Man piece I did for an art show. I'll post it too soon) 17X14 in size
  4. Small Brigitte Bardot portrait Gouache on paper 7X10
  5. I can't remember the last time I posted in Comics General. Long story short... I have fairly recently become disabled and have taken up my doing paintings again mostly because I don't have to move around much to paint and secondly because I've been an artist my whole life and have just now really had the time to be able to focus on it. Here's a few samples: This first one is pretty big. Acrylic on paper 18X24 I'm not sure why the scan looks washed out on here.
  6. Absolute bottom price. Shipped and insured. $2000 Right in line with last GPA sale and this one was a Mark Jewelers copy.
  7. I posted a bunch of issues of Creepy on eBay yesterday and today. Most issues from 2-81 are there including the elusive 32. Most are readers but I've listed them pretty low and will combine shipping. I have a run of Eeries that I thought I would keep because I never did start that title which are from the same OO collection that the Creepys came from. Those run from 2-70-ish. Here's my eBay link. Thanks for taking the time to look! http://www.ebay.com/usr/ihadthat_toysandcollectibles
  8. Posted an ASM 129 CGC 8.5 Stan Lee SS a couple hours ago
  9. ASM 129 CGC 8.5 Stan Lee Sig Series Amazing Spider-Man Number 129 with the first appearance of some guy that wears all black and drives a rape van. CGC Graded 8.5 with WHITE pages and Signature Series signed by Stan Lee attractively (Thank God) in silver. This book had a Mark Jewelers insert in it at one time too for those that care. in the thread trumps PMs because I may not see the PM right away. Full disclosure. Weird wavy light scratch on the top back of the case. I've tried to show it in the last photo. I also apologize now for the phone photos as I have recently moved and don't have my scanner hooked up yet. It goes without saying that this book is only getting hotter with the Netflix show coming this fall and from what I understand Mr. Lee signings are finally becoming limited, if not nonexistent. PayPal preferred yet I can process a credit card also with a small fee through my business account. Bomb proof packaging and I will insure for full value (sorry international buyers, I know that can be expensive). Domestic shipping included in the price! $2100 takes her home! (God why didn't I buy this when I was 15 standing there looking at one for $60 instead of buying Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man #64. Granted I was 15 and Cloak was HOT!) EDIT: I will consider trades for things too if I know you or "of" you. I like golden age good girl art and bronze age mags as those that know me know.
  10. Haven't picked anything up in a long time but I couldn't pass up these Skywalds in great shape! Sorry for the crappy cell phone shot.
  11. I don't care about the sets so much because frankly, who has the room. The figures on the other hand....
  12. It's a matte finish; not shiny at all, which I agree is a good thing. Not sure why the promo pics look that way. It doesn't look shiny at all to me in the promo pic but then again I know how it's lit.
  13. I hosted a photography workshop a few weekends ago and styled it after Gil Elvgren. This was the result. Dora Witch by DWShoots, on Flickr
  14. Octopus is far tastier than squid when prepared properly.
  15. Glad to see this thread surviving. Here's a shot I did a little less than a week ago. Cammie with Octopus 1 by DWShoots, on Flickr I'm debuting it officially at my next exhibition Thursday night.
  16. Being a model photographer this cover was right up my alley. Can't go wrong with a hot Veronica pose.
  17. via Imgflip Meme Generator Damn! That is a freaking cute Pom! The breeder had the cutest Pom puppy I've ever seen. Its markings I had never seen before and it had blue eyes. Luckily, it was a boy and we wanted a girl because they wanted $5,000 for it Other than maybe Paris Hilton, who the hell pays 5 G's for a puppy?!? I've had English Bulldogs, so yeah... guilty.
