  7. Thanks, I know I was pleasantly surprised at the top flight artists employed by King Comics in the mid 60's, so I may pick up a few more.
  8. I lost out on a copy of Flash Gordon #6 last week, as bidding concluded while I was at work. This week's bid should work out better.
  9. Sharp looking book. 9.2 and perhaps higher.
  10. 4 points my best round. Who would have thought all the books would have the same grade
  11. I had my best round so far. Still not great though. I setup a range of grades for each book and then took a grade near the top for my choice. I wound up with one bulls eye and 5 points total. If I had chosen the grade at the upper limit of my range for all 5 books I would have had 2 points. My biggest miss was the Aggie Mack #8 book, which I had at 4.5.
  12. Batman June of 66 to Batman in Detective Comics June of 65
  13. I was perplexed by the 'top trimmed' note on my copy of Tales To Astonish #16 as it did not look trimmed. I took several other raw copies of Atlas and Marvel books from the same time period to copare heights and TTA #16 seems to be slightly taller than those books. I then thought what if I capture the image of another graded TTA #16 and use paint to size them so the width is the same. Being careful to not distort the books, but it might have happened, I was able to place them side by side. Then I used a ruler to verify the widths were the same. I had use pixels when sizing the two copies. Sure enough the height on my graded copy is slightly less than the book I compared it to. Is this a valid way to compare books for this? I do not want to deslab mine just to make measuring easier. My copy, on the right, has more space between Thorr's arm and the spine of the book than the other copy. The comparison photo did not appear as large as I had hoped, new photo. The widths are identical but the book from the blue label slab (on the right) is longer.
  14. Woah over graded Mopsy and under graded the rest for a whopping 9 points.
  15. Just in. I see the creeping skeletal men they are prowling about the muck again they crawl in sync, and they crawl by night they know no bounds and are not very bright
