  1. Four Color 322 (Porky Pig #1) February, 1951 ๐Ÿท๐Ÿš€๐Ÿช๐Ÿฐ This showed up today thanks to @MrBedrock ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
  2. Recently, I got the mouse ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ’ฅ bug again. These two copies help replace a 3.5 that I had for many years. I did some reading up on Mighty Mouse history and found the following info: ๐Ÿญ Paul Terry created Super Mouse in 1942 as an animated film for the theater ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Super Mouse was a funny animal Superman swipe with the same costume colors. Then, in 1944, for the 8th film episode, Terry changed the name to Mighty Mouse and altered the suit colors. ๐ŸญIn 1945,Terry struck an agreement with Martin Goodman to publish Mighty Mouse in Goodmanโ€™s first funny animal title, Terry Toons (1942). ๐ŸญBeginning in Terry Toons 38 (1st app- Nov, 1945), the powerful mouse would appear on every cover. St. Johnโ€™s publishing would take over in 1947 followed by Pines and Dell Comics over the next handful of years. From 1955-1967, Mighty Mouse became a popular TV ๐Ÿ“บ cartoon on Saturday mornings for children to enjoy.
  3. Thatโ€™s a nice full spread house ad Goodman used on the Torch 2. I like the Cap 1 cover ad that wasnโ€™t used on the Mystic 5. Love that Marvel Mystery 9 partial swipe ๐Ÿ˜
  4. More evidence of Schomburgโ€™s mastery and desire to showcase detailed machinery in his art ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค“
  5. ๐Ÿช๐Ÿ’ฃ Mystic Comics 5 ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿช released December 15, 1940 with a house ad for Cap 1 (released December 20, 1940). Got a full hook ๐Ÿช on one of my copies.
  6. This flew into my mailbox ๐Ÿ“ฌ yesterday ๐ŸŒŸ
  7. It has been a very unplanned 2023, but I suppose these make the highlight reel ๐ŸŽฅ ๐ŸŒŸ - all yellow covers but for one, and all Timelys but for one - and it was the age of pulp diving and picking up a random, 1940 piece of original art ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธโฃ๏ธ
  8. A plain โ€˜ole Red Circle Western from February, 1941โ€ฆ.but with a few house ads from Goodman advertising the Human Torch (#1- Fall,1940) and Marvel Mystery Comics (#15 - January, 1941) ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ˜€
  9. I like the Action title better but the Supe 5 trumps in this case.
  10. Painted ๐Ÿ‘ฝ UFO ๐Ÿ›ธ pulp cover by Alex Schomburg (1953)
  11. Fantastic Story Magazine (Sept, 1953) Full date stamp โ€œJUL 23 1953โ€ neatly placed on the ๐Ÿ‘ฝ UFO ๐Ÿ›ธ on one of the copies ๐Ÿ˜€ Schomburg ๐ŸŽจ cover ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
  12. Hereโ€™s a recent pick up to add to my Goodman pulp timeline. This one is a Red Circle (NOV, 1939) and has the Marvel Comics 1 house ad inside (only the fourth pulp Iโ€™ve discovered with the Marvel Comics 1 house ad). I like how the font style and colors are identical to the Marvel Comics 1 logo. ๐Ÿ‘ฝ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ‘™
  13. I just wish CGC would put โ€œ10/39โ€ on their graded OCT copies. They keep the โ€œ11/39โ€ notation on both printings. At least the other company denotes the proper printing month on their label ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
