  2. Nice books, Collin I'm surprised Richard missed that ped
  3. I've always heard that CGC did not deduct for bindery tears and this book is proof that they don't. Considered a production defect Overstreet needs to correct their grading guide then. According to the 2nd edition, no bindery tears are allowed on anything 9.8 and up. CGC's standards don't always coincide with Overstreet's. As such, certain defects are considered production defects and thus they don't deduct for them. I'm not sure if every bindery tear falls into this category, but many certainly do.

  7. Just try to keep me from replying. Just try. Touche. Or, to remember a fallen board member (that deserved it), douchee Now I see who Cap_Freak studied business ethics & etiquette under Oh, we have not seen the last of that little scallywag. He's learning CAP LOCK 101 right about now, and is a proud fraternity brother of Scamda Scamda Scamda, California Chapter. And he's so clever with his shills. No one ever figures out it's him

  9. Good question, but dare I say my dad has a rather unique email address? I'm not sure of many American's with the name 'Roxette' in their email. But even if it was a case of mistaking identity, wouldn't the seller notice eventually? Well if he seems to think that he has a deal struck with someone, then obviously he didn't just make it up unless he's been sitting around smoking dope for the last month non-stop. Or at least I'd think he didn't just make it up. It's possible he saved your dad's e-mail address in a address book and mislabeled it. Like if you saved mine under Bob Jones you might just see Bob Jones in your address book instead of my e-mail address. I'd still call him. Call him to do what? Get in a shouting match over books he never asked for and doesn't want? There are times when it's best to let things go. This is one of those times. Nothing good would result from a phone call.
  10. Glad you enjoy them, Gary. It was a pleasure doing business with you and getting the opportunity to chat about comics
  11. Congrats, Casey Nice accomplishment! What run are you going to complete next?
  12. It wasn't my book, Hellenic dork Even worse. You ruined someone else's book Didn't they teach you how to take books out of bags back on Samoa? Not everyone learned to do it the right away like you did growing up in Turkey. Oh, greggy...you didn't just call a Greek a Turk did you?? I hope you guys are sitting far apart from each other at the Chicago dinners. He meant it in the best possible way I might make the dinner to hear you two spar. It sounds like it'll be humorous. It's fun until he starts up with the line from Beyond Thunderdome "Who run Greektown?" "Greggy run Greektown"

  17. was it the top census that was the surprise, or the ped, or both? wonderful book. A little bit of both, Billy. I thought the book had an outside chance at 7.0, so the 7.5 was a nice surprise. After I bought the book I talked to Stephen Ritter about it and he looked up what books they knew of in the Nova Scotia pedigree. Mine didn't show up. But like Stephen said, that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't. So the ped designation was more of a pleasant surprise than the grade.
  18. Had this back for a few weeks now, but just got around to scanning it today. Bought it at last year's WW Chicago. Came back top census with the ped designation
