Thanks for your message.  The turnaround time for the private signings doesn't start until the actual signing has been completed.  There can be weeks and in some cases, months between the cut off date and the actual signing date.  This allows us to enter all the thousands of submissions for a particular signing but it is also based on the artist's schedule, which can sometimes change. This signing hasn't occurred yet and it may be a few weeks yet.

Has the signing taken place?  If so when was it?  If not, when do you expect it to?

Well the internet stranger was CGC customer service.

Any updates on when Jim Lee signing took place?  I heard it was early September, but I was hoping someone could confirm with an exact date.

Which according to this puts me at 133 business days from 4/29.  Current TaTs are 103 days for Slow Modern.....

Worst part is it was 'mistakenly' put in QC/Finalized on 5/26 and has been stuck there ever since.  When I call, it's still scheduled to be graded and "not to worry until September" 

 

You're actually at 95 business days.  It's been 133 regular days.  When CGC says it 103 business days it means you have to take that number, divide it by 5 and then multiply by 7 to get an estimate of how many actual days it may take.  I made a spreadsheet with this formula to have an idea of how long my wait is going to be.  

I have noticed in my last few submissions that I am not receiving any grader notes.  I know they don't necessarily do them for all 9.6's but I would expect them for everything below that.  We are paying for a grading service and part of that service is informing us what factors were used to determine the grade.

When do you submit your books?

I'm curious to know when people who are now receiving their orders, when did CGC receive your books.  I'm trying to get an idea of when I should be getting mine back.  I submitted on 4/20 and they put in the system on 5/28.  Another order was received on 5/6 and put in system on 6/14.  Please let me know when you received your books, when you submitted them and what type of submission it was.

I books finally posted today since having arrived on May 6th.  

Now I'm still waiting for my books that were received by them on May 6th.  This is crazy that it's taking almost 7 weeks now to show as received.  They still show they're going through the books dropped off on April 26th.

Anyone know how much CGC raised the fee for dealer witness signature books?  I just got an updated invoice from Twin City Comics charging me an additional $5 per book cause they delayed in sending my signed books in before the price increase. 

My books finally got logged in.  They were received on April 20

I really wish they would be honest then about their turn around times.  It adds a whole month.

What's the timeframe now?  My books have been there since April 20th and still not showing received.

I just received a bill for past submissions with fees ranging from $4.29 - $8.08.  I called to inquire about why I was being charged for submissions from months prior.  I was told these were additional shipping fees on top of the initial fee I was charged.  These fees would be over $20 for shipping a single book.  While I can understand there being a variation on price due to weight, I can't see how the amounts are so much more than the initial shipping fee; over 50% more on some of them.  Is this normal?  I have submitted several books and this is the first time I was ever charged additional shipping fees.
