  1. That's an interesting observation. Yes, majority of them seem to be 1.75 which may be the original price they were selling these. But I remember early 80s they were still selling some of these same comics with a 1.95 and 2.95 in it and some were on sale with a 1.00 written there. In some cases where there was already a previous stamp or writing, they will put a price sticker over it.
  2. Have you added the 2 Shogun Warriors in the NBS Marvel list?
  3. A seller sent me a video of NBS reprints. I'm not sure if these ones are on your list already
  4. During the 1950s-1970s Disney was also translated into Filipino. Note that even the indicia is in Filipino
  5. Some of the comic gets translated too and included in magazines (comic magazines). Anybody remember Mandrake the Magician?
  6. The Alemars printed comics that I have are mostly non-Marvel; Non-DC
  7. Have you guys seen this one from "Kasten" I think they reprinted mostly Richie Rich, Casper and this one I got Magnus Robot fighter. I played around in the back cover with a whiteout/Liquid paper during that time
  8. Hi guys. Just joined recently when I saw this thread. I'm from the Philippines and I grew up with those reprints from the early 80s. For a time those were the only way to enjoy DC/Marvel comics as there were no comic shops and bookstores are not carrying the US prints. I think National Book store stopped printing when the US comics became widely available. They are still in business as a bookstore but not in reprinting books. They only printed select issues and it's normal to have them not in sequence as I remember. Goodwill and Alemars I think closed down during the mid to late 90s. Early 90s there was also a time there was Filipino translated comics of DC/Marvel by a company called MKPI (they were on newsprint though including the covers)
