  1. Man, it's tough to narrow it down to five books, but I'll give it a try. 5) House of Secrets #96: CREEPY Wrightson cover! 4) Phantom Stranger #29: The Donminguez cover that puts a chill up your spine. 3) Ghosts #105: One of the most violent books to ever wear a CCA badge. 2) House of Secrets #94: Fabulous Wrightson cover! 1) House of Mystery #205: Most incredible horror cover...EVER!
  2. It would be nice to see more interior shots or particularly nice splash pages. I will post some of those in the next few days... I agree. I'd also like to see some talk and comments on the issues that are tougher to find in high grade. Always good ammunition to have when you run across a virgin collection. Go OSU! I didn't say "Virgin Collector", so crawl back under your rock.

  4. This sucks. Looks like I'll be digging in the quarter bins again. It's all Sterling's fault! Damn you and your infinite thread!
  5. I bought THIS last night, and THIS the night before. I believe this will be the first ASM 238 I've ever owned.
  6. Whatcha preparing for, Matthew? Sounds like an art show Actually, I think it's one of those big Greek Orgies.
  7. You said the same thing when they came out with "The Clapper".
  8. Hey Matthew! Never got those scans for those books.... The origin and first appearance of Shiverbones' Monkey. Click if you dare. It still cracks me up. That was one of the greatest threads ever.
  9. How about Redneck Zombies (1987) (V) Or you could try this database http://www.undeadfilms.com/index.php Redneck Zombies is a fantastic movie...but not the one I'm thinking of. (The tobacco chewing, flesh eating, cannibal kinfolk from hell!) I searched the site by year from 1981 through 1998 and couldn't find it.
  10. Just a post to let everyone know that Stronguy is THE Man. All other "man" wannabes tremble in his presence. That's spelled T-H-E...Man!
  11. Nope. The movie was released in the late '80s to very early '90s.
  12. If it had been my book, the dog would be just a standard "spaniel" when I was finished with it. That is so demented, I don't know where to start.

  14. Maybe one of you guys could help out with this. Back in the early '90's a friend and I would get together once a week to watch cheap horror movie. We watched one that neither of us can remember the name of now. It was about a couple that get married, and one (or both?) turn into a zombie. The movie was hilarious and poked fun at cheap horror movies. The majority of the money spent on the movie was on blood and film. I'm almost positive at one point the camera pans off scene and you see the stage hand pumping the blood into the on camera prop. I've tried to find it on IMDB, but I've not been successful. The sad thing is that it was a fantastic movie, but I can't remember a lot of details about it as we only saw it one time. But I'm sure I'd know the title if I saw it.
  15. My vote for one of the best, and freakiest, covers ever. I must have one.
  16. The white up the very spine you are talking about is more common on modern books. In my experience, the highest grade it will get from CGC is 9.6. If it's bad, perhaps a bit lower.
  17. The same thing has happened to me. Basically, if the seller cleans out his bank account before you file your complaint, they can't recover the funds. Oh, I might add that they don't give a damn either. I tried calling them on the phone. The guy was very friendly when he told me they didn't give a damn.
