  1. A heads-up for you BA Horror fans. If you were planning to bid on THIS , you might want to email the guy for a scan of this "NM" book. Buyer beware.
  2. Surely you're kidding. The Bronze "NM" books I bought from Milehigh ranged from 6.0 to 8.0. And the 8.0 was pretty generous on my part. I've never seen anything on Lonestar worth buying. I know I met the owner at WW Dallas last year, and he was a royal .
  3. Finally. A book you don't see every day. Unless you own a copy, and look at it...every day.
  4. Took me a while to find a nice copy of this. Easily in my Top 50 horror covers.
  5. A few books I received today. This cover is just creepy, IMO.
  6. I love this cover. This issue is sweet looking when you find one in high grade.
  7. Good question...I had another real nice copy I sold several years ago but don't have a scan handy so I can't be sure. However, printer's creases are common for certain issues (Weird War 1, Dark Mansion 1, Defenders 1 come to mind) so it could be a printing issue where many copies within a run have a similar defect? It's common with that issue. I have two copies with the crease in the exact same place. Add HOM 205 to that list. I haven't seen enough copies of 205 to make that determination... I'm working on a small box full.

  9. How dare you defile the sacred thread with your tripe! Be gone, insufficiently_thoughtful_person!
  10. Another upgrade. My old one was around 9.0. This one is WAY nicer! To be frozen in carbonite with my next submission.
  11. A few of my latest... I've been looking for a sweet copy of this for a long time.
  12. Thanks for buying, Buck. Glad you liked the book.
  13. Literally FOUND? How do you file your books? Some people just have misc. piles laying all over the place and others are completely anal. I'm pretty organized and know where everything is but I never remember what actual issues I have, so I always have to go check to see if I have something or not. How many books do you guys have? People always talk about how they came across a longbox they hadn't seen in 10 years or something like that. I only have about 1,500-2,00 books, so I pretty much know exactly what I have and where it is. I have less than 1,000 total comics, with about half being horror. I like to keep it lean and organized. Back in the old days, I had a room full of longboxes and could never find anything. Then again...it was sorta fun running across books you forgot you had.
  14. It has some very light foxing up the spine. You can see a hint in the scan. It looks worse in the scan, but it runs around to the back cover. Structurally, I graded it 9.2, minus what they knocked off for the foxing. The foxing is only on the outside cover. The inside cover is bone white and clean.
  15. I have books with them too. Must be production related.
  16. Kudos to Kramerica (Mark) for some sweet sweet books. I'll buy your raw books any day.
  17. I've noticed them. I have no idea who they are.
