I love that book. Nice one, Billy. (thumbs u

    thank you, sir.

what kills it for me is that someone drew a little "p" on the cover :insane:

I kinda like the little "p" on the cover :o

my understanding is that parker likes some books with a little "p" on them

    No, that would be Russ.

I am supprised at page quality with it being a "p" copy, you would think acidification would have been a factor and droped page quality to a yellow to cream color??

Lets just say that wasn't color touch on the cover.
  2. My biggest week (shows how cheap I am compared to the big boys around here).

While I usually stick to card covers, I also want to collect my top 10 covers (and 2 honorable mentions). This week, I added two of those covers in two days. The CDNP came from a deal on the boards and this Air Fighters was picked up on eBay and benefited the Heroes Initiative, as well as my collection.

For me it was a tossup between this and the incredible Valkyrie cover five issues earlier. The colors on this issue always grab my attention and ultimately the lower price tag made it an easy choice to make. Low page quality, but also meant I got a book that looks more like an 8.0 before it took the PQ hit.

Then this baby. Best cover ever.

My other top ten covers I still need to pick up:

Human Torch #12 (need to sell a kidney first)

Fight Against Crime #20 (need to wait for someone who owns one to die so it can be sold again)

Fighting Yank #23 (I'd swear these used to be available and affordable)

    Remember Pearl Harbor

and my honorable mention: Rifleman #10 (need a nice CGC)

I am interested in acquiring a CNDP 24 and would like to know how much you paid, if you don't mind?
  3. :hi: Hiyo!

Question: Anyone know about MCMiles? Is he a good guy to buy from? :wishluck:

Sorry to ask this way, but with the amount of pages here and my lack of attention problems... I thought to ask the fellow boardies here about the person I am considering buying a book from.

Thanks for any feedback provided, in advance!

    Great Seller!
  4. Been spoiling myself this week. First that big batch yesterday, then today arrived an ebay purchase. I took a chance on a small photo that looked like it could be FN, and here it is, my first copy of #33:

I'm very happy with that for a raw ebay purchase! If not for that big chip out of the corner I'd be thinking 8.5. Very nice. And now I can find out what's so great about this issue. Everyone round here says it's a top story yes?

Yes but you need to read 31 and 32 first... :makepoint:

That reminds me. I will be selling a VG ASM 31 at the VCC this weekend.
