Bought this one from Chris at the VCC last month. Have always wanted a copy of it...graded as a blue 5.5 with cream to off white pages. Nice to have it. Not too many copies on the census...when is the movie coming out??? He is a scan from my krappy scanner...

Picked this one up today... Made my weekend in one fell swoop...

So, I had not bought any Timelys in a while, but could not pass on this when I saw it today....so it has a nice new home. Love the colour. Wonder how long it took for the German soldiers to walk in the tunnel from Germany all the way to New York ....love how everything is labeled and explained on the FC... Ya, PLOD, I know, I know, but I could care less.... spline split sealed and cover reinforced at stamples....still looks great to me...and pretty reasonable price on it too. Case is cracked on the back but the shop is going to send it in for me in the next couple months and have it re-slabbed Anyway, here is a scan....ooooohhhhh, on my new scanner too.....

Awsome books....not sure if I posted a scan of this when I first bought it....low grade and I likely overpaid for it (2nd chance eBay offer, I initially thought might be a scam)....but am glad I have it....to me, just an unbelieveable classic cover, love the green worm...

I agree....no contest for me AF15 all the way on this one....

Guess I will go with Adventure 72. The other two don't do much for me so I will pass on that one, although if forced to.....guess I would take the Scrooge...

Here is something maybe some of the more experienced guys could give me their comments on. Wondering how the CT affects the grade and value of this book...there are the 4 CTs in the top left - these are near the M in Mysic. Any ideas if it is possible to get these removed? Worth while? The CT appears to me to be "amature" in nature - acrylic paint (maybe?). Not that I am planning to sell the book or get it graded....any comments would be appreciated. I have distorted the lighting on the scan so you can see the 4 CTs in the upper left corner...hope it comes out good. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I was really happy to land it, although I debated buying it - I had to really scrape the cash together....but I think it was worth the effort....it is a pretty nice looking book......man, if I could just save some more $$$. Think I need another job Gotta love the Timelys

I will take the Adventure 40 thanks - MH copy and Cage copy - man I would love to own that book. Sweet!

Let's see...on the previous one, I will take the large lot of Caps! No contest on that one for me. Between the All American and the Nickel - that is a tough one....key book vs that high grade MH copy....hmmmm , I think on most days I would have have to go with the AA, but I would love to see the colours on that Nickel - that looks like a sweet book.....guess I will go with the Nickel....going to crack that case for sure! That's my pick!

Took a quick look through the book and looks like the Destroyer kicks to cr ap out of some Nazis - looks like a good read - going to read it this weekend....

Fantastic looking book Andy - love that cover - congrats on a really nice HT ......gotta get me a copy of that one....oh well, one day .... Thought I was done with Timelys for the year...but then this one came knocking on my door and I just could not resist.....got it before it went to eBay....Hitler with his trunk of baddies....just too cool a cover to pass on....just happy to have it . Picked it up today. Four small CT dots in the top left corner, light non-colour breaking crease on FC, really nice pages - smells good too...

Ok, well I am the not so bright one....but I am taking the Cap #1 hands down.... and purely from my own personal point of view and preference. Since I will likely never own either - if offered either and allowed to pick, no doubt I would take Cap #1. Likely not a popular decision, but Supes just doesn't do it for me. I know.....lot of historical imporance to that issue, but I am still taking the Cap book..... Fire away.......I can take it!

I would take Bats #1.....not much for Superman.....Bats #1 it is!

That is a fantastic looking MM #27. The colours look great. Nice pick up. I agree - some great stuff being posted - no doubt.....please keep it coming ......nothing beats a Timely! Since I started collecting (again, after selling my books years ago), I am scrambling all over the place to sell off all the other cr*p....errrrr....I mean highly valued collectible stuff, I have collected over the years and turn it into Timelys... I am working on another of my "key" Timelys ..... hope to make a deal on it this week .......anyone have a nice warm shed I can live in......wifey is going to banish me soon....

You cannot go wrong - great art/reading, best covers of the GA (in my humble opinion ) and there are some nice affordable Timelys out there..... Bob Storms has a Cap 49 on his site...no pic, but sure he'd scan it....I bought his 6.5 of the same. Last war issue, great looking cover.... Some great books tonight for sure!
