That is very interesting, Bob. However, Herb is wrong in that people don't read them anymore. I have read them. I have read them all. Now, I am looking for something that goes beyond that. For me, that's a slab. I have a 9.8 FF 186 that was given to me by a friend that represents the very first comic I had purchased for me when I was five. I like the fact that it's encased in plastic where it is less likely to get damaged. To me, it's a preserved memory. I also keep a raw reading copy in the bag with it in its own Mylar sleeve. Read it again just the other day... good stuff.

Not complaining at all, I am very happy for the boardies above who got the grades. I have just seen this year alot of books that "good graders" have pre-graded come back higher from CGC. I had 3 books that I thought could only get 9.8's with pressing which Matt Nelson turned down as we both agreed 9.6 was the highest they could go. So no pressing was done and I just submitted them to CGC. All 3 got 9.8's and they were pretty key books where the difference 9.6/9.8 was a huge amount. I will take the gift grades every now and then. Not trying to spoil anyones fun. Carry on..... Did you ever think that you might not have graded them correctly? And not everything is a gift grade 3 not likely. Grading is subjective but to give these books 9.8's is a real stretch. IMO I will take the money, but the grades were a shock to me. Did you crack them out and sell them as 9.6s?
