  1. Here is another I just acquired (sorry to interrupt the debate on newsstand collecting legitimacy 😁).
  2. I lived just outside of Denver until a couple of months ago and if you think his website prices are crazy, just go visit his superstore. Admittedly it has a little bit of everything but it is so unbelievably expensive that there is no way they move very much product. The cheapest graded comic they have is about $500 (for a non-key modern issue in a long box, not on display) and their action figures are at least 10 times more expensive than what you find them on ebay for. If you visit thinking it's a museum with no intention to buy anything than it's a great time, but if you are looking for something in particular, just find it elsewhere. Just BTW, I interviewed Chuck about a decade ago for a podcast I hosted at the time. He really is more hands off now days when it comes to the actual selling of comics. He'll buy big lots and write his newsletter but the pricing and listing of comics he leaves to his two "specialists" at his store there. I'm curious if he actually knows what he is charging now.
  3. Thanks! Now you have me wondering. Is this the issue you mentioned because I remember issue 3 or 4's cover shows that doesn't it? I'll pull it up on my tablet when I get a minute and re-read the series.
  4. Here are some from my latest CGC shipment. This one was very X-Men heavy (with that one, cool Venom cover).
  5. There was a mistake on the price on these so the distributor sent the stickers out to correct it, at least that is what the guy who had a graded copy listed on ebay said (the listing has since expired). I think Secret Defenders was supposed to be $1.75 at the time but the newsstand copies got the $1.25 tag for some reason while the DEs were all $1.75.
  6. I just got mine back too. I was pretty disappointed it wasn't 9.8 but I'm still happy with it.
  7. Thanks! I think there were Marvel Newsstands for about a year after that one though because I picked up Matt Fraction's Fantastic Four and FF up at Barnes and Noble through issue 10 if I remember correctly.
  8. Here is the rest of the order I got back yesterday.
  9. These have become my new favorites to hunt down and grade instead of newsstands since those don't exist anymore. Here are a few I just got back from CGC.
  10. I just got a box of Fantastic Four comics back from CGC.
  11. I first came across that chart in a blog post Chuck from Mile High Comics wrote. Is that where it originates from? I assumed it was a lie because Chuck exaggerates everything to the point of ridiculousness but I never knew if he made that up completely or if it was at least somewhat based in numbers he had somewhere. Personally, it seems to be an excuse to charge almost $200 for random 90s issues that ought to be in the dollar bin (see example). Even with his 50% off codeword that FF issue still runs $90. Has anyone ever paid $100 for Ff 389? Even graded? 😆
