  1. Would it be "The Tick Special Edition #1" for the cameo? I'm pretty sure the special editions came first. Haven't read it but I'm guessing it's the same as The tick #1. I know there is an ashcan too but not sure of the exact release or content of the issue.
  2. I'm a fan of the "creator" labels like the Mcfarlane or Alex ross ones. Would be nice to have a label for Frank Miller's new company next time he signs. A Tiny Onion one for James Tynion would be cool too. Also, maybe some sort of "in memory of.." label. Have a percentage go to charity or the artist's family.
  3. I've been slowly building my 2000ad collection. Working on getting Alan Moore's early stuff. The Dark Judges arc might be next on my list. and speaking of Marvelman...
  4. Spawn #179 (6/08) 1st appearance of War Spawn. Thinking of sending it in for the Mayhew signing. Would be great to have it updated before then. Thanks for all the hard work!
  5. Jason David Frank played a big roll in my formative years. I enrolled in Tae Kwon Do because he was teaching a class. It was my first time being involved in anything related to sports. Eventually I went on to wrestle and train in MMA. The most important thing I learned from those karate classes were the mental aspects. Discipline, humility, honor, work ethic, ect. Things I've kept with me my whole life. I don't know if I would've turned out the same if it wasn't for JDF. Rest in peace.
  6. IMPORTANT: Please write JT/MS/WD/AMB on all sides of the outside of the box. You must initial outside of the box or we will not be able to honor the submission for this signing. If I'm only getting Tynion/Simmonds should I just put JT/MS? Or should I still do the full JT/MS/WD/AMB? Thanks in advance!
  7. The Constantine "cameo" has always bugged me. I'd consider it a Sting appearance, if anything. The "1st unofficial Justice League Dark appearance" listings always give me a chuckle too. Glad cgc doesn't recognize either of these.
  8. Thanks for the info. Idk which is worse an accidental charge or retroactive one. Just noticed this too... Pretty sure it was the one that was charged extra. Order ending in 334 was Miller signing and 078 was Claremont. Got Miller back on Tuesday(?), received extra charge the next day and got back Claremont on Friday(?). It wasn't like I was charged on the following sub. It was out of the blue. Shipping on both was $14. I should've been charged an extra $5 on each of them if that was the case. Unless the change came about in August. Which means they changed my "received by" date and charged me because of it.
  9. Thanks for the heads up . One of my favs so far.
  10. Eh...I guess I'll start. They charged me an extra $5 after I already had the book back. Not the end of the world and not worth my time to try and recoup it. (previously e-mailed CS about a separate issue and never heard back) This was my first time using CGC and everything else was great. I'm positive they would've refunded it, I just didn't feel like going through the CS dance. However, I passed on the last few Sig events because of this and the QC issues popping up. I would've considered it if they accepted Visa Gift cards. I have a box I was going submit but for now I'll just go with Mylites and Top loaders. Still a fan of CGC don't get me wrong. Just thought I'd try and give this thread a little jump start.
  11. I watch this at least once a week. Never fails to make me laugh. I hope all works out for you and your family. No prize needed. Sell it to charity.
  12. Forgot about this one. Not a big money book but haven't seen any others around.
  13. Still having trouble pinning down his early work. So far June/July 1980 is the earliest I've seen available.
