  1. Hey John, my value tier submission has been in GEI for over two months. So it may be a long while before it moves. It went GEI July 1st or 2nd.

Reached out to Jennifer after 5 weeks and she quoted 160+ business days total. It was submitted in Feb so by my calculations it should be finished mid September for mine. Which would put it in GEI for 50 business days.

Moderns are flying thru GEI, but my Values have been sitting in GEI for 2 weeks. Even longer for others.

I have a value  that’s been in GEI for 5 weeks now.

My moderns PS were moved moved to GEI and shipped in 1 week.

Value tier is super delayed right now.

    My economy magazines

    Delivered 2/24

    Received 3/17

    GEI 7/8

    Went to QC today 7/23

and we have "shipped" today 7/24 and it'll go out Monday 7/26, but at least I got grades :)

My modern mags have all the same dates but are still at GEI as of 7/8

Yeah my Value tier book, has been sitting in GEI for 4 weeks now. Kinda strange.... It definitely didn’t used to move like this. It would be 1-3 days at most in SFG and then 1-3 days in Quality Control

this GEI is driving me crazy.

  4. Don’t worry I have a submission 3813159 that’s been stuck there also, apparently it’s a lot of people with stuck submissions. Considering my submission is 25k+ submissions ahead of yours, I think it might be a while.

was it value tier?, if so magazine and value seem to be backed up big time.

What is frustrating is how you and others dont get that has been covered many times.

"Received" and "SFG" status is who gives a :censored:

TaT starts the day your box arrives at CGC not the day its uploaded to your CGC account number or computer system.

So whether someone's invoice goes from "received" to "SFG" in one day or 3 months it doesn't matter.  "shipped/safe" is all you need to care about.

Yeah I was replying to the other guy about why people are showing SFG on later submissions.

The fact that turnaround times are so out of wack is why a lot of people even post to this thread right now. It wasn’t always like this. CGC is getting hammered at both ends. They are trying to get the million+ they invested into a inventory system they contracted some lame company to build for them, who tried to hold them ransom and then bailed. Also while trying to staff a facility where they are running out of room to store books properly.

it’s a FCKD up situation, that it seems CGC is downplaying severely.

Crazy that your shipment was opened and SFG already :whatthe:

I sent mine Fed Ex Express (delivered 6/14) too and it hasn't been touched yet. I have Value, Standard, Economy and Modern in mine

So, for some reason submissions that were opened sometime in April and after, were all instantly Moved to Scheduled for grading. I assume it was a mistake or a better way to track when submissions should actually be graded.

it’s frustrating when my March submission is still just received, when everyone after me is SFG.

  7. Hello,

I have a membership and let’s say it expires next month. Am I still able to send out books prior to my membership expiring. As long as the are received prior to the end of my yearly membership? Even though the grading won’t take place until a few months after?

I know this question has probably been answered before, I’ll keep searching the forums to see if I can find it.

Are 2 boxes a requirement for a 50 book submission? I called once and asked if I could split my 25 book sub into 2 boxes and was told no.

It’s exponentially harder for CGC to get your whole order unpacked when there are separate boxes for 1 invoice.

Short story, if you want your order to show received sooner than later, 1 box is the way to go.

Modern Slow Track - 25 Books:

Modern Fast Track - 4 Books:
    In CGC's hands Mon 8/17

    Which one will ship first?

Trick question, they will ship the same time and you will be asking yourself why they couldn’t have just put them in 1 box so you could save on shipping costs.
