  1. Notes said just that, “light scuffing”. I’ll post pics when I get it back. Never expected a 9.8 but an 8.0? GTOH.
  2. CGC is all over the place. Guess like so many others, time to move on.
  3. They were just shipped. I'll post pics when I get them back.
  4. At the time I didn't even know what pre-screening was. I don't usually collect modern stuff and this is probably why I won't going forward. Never been thrilled with the price points of 9.8 books when they are disproportionally priced compared to 9.4's and 9.6's. I know, everyone says it 'my books were perfect" and I get it. Just frustrating when you wait nearly 5 months for books, pay pressing fees for books that are already mint and then have to read for 4 months about what a mistake I made sending them to CGC pressing to begin with. Thanks for not taking it out on me too hard.
  5. Would it really be much to ask if they just included the damn grader notes for free? A freaking sentence that you can see online only would be sufficient. They include it on some books.
  6. Got involved again in comics this past spring. Didn't know much about pressing or pressing services so I sent two pristine books to CGC for pressing, even though they really didn't need it. This was back in June. Finally getting them back as 9.6's. Very nice grades but utter BS. These things were pristine. I literally could not find a single flaw and after I sent them, realized they probably didn't even need to be pressed. I thought pressing was something EVERYONE did before sending them in. Very frustrating. Do we even know what the qualifications are of the people working there?
  7. You all don’t have a problem processing payments but I still haven’t seen any books. With close to 100 either with you or on the way, I have to say I’m thinking of going somewhere else. So far you’ve processed 4 payment for 700+, 600+, 200+, and another 200+ and all I’ve gotten so far was a single book and a reholder that was sent to you because of newton rings. C’mon guys, if you put as much into grading books as you do posting grading videos and letters from your CEO maybe you’d have happier customers.
  8. Seriously. You want to continue being the gold standard? Get your stuff together. Sent you books 3 weeks ago that aren’t even in your “received” status yet. I’m tired of taking up for you guys.
  9. How long does it take for CGC to get books entered into their system after physically receiving them?
  10. Just received noticed I was charged $600 for a bunch of books I have with you guys. I went to track and now it says you haven't received anything from me in 8 months? I hope to God something has glitched.
  11. Some of the covers are pretty nice. Lol
  12. I recently bought a couple slabs third hand that have pretty bad rings. I'm going to send them in for reholders but what are the chances of this happening again and does CGC offer any kind of discount? I get it, things happen, but other graders aren't facing this problem and for now I prefer to stay loyal to CGC. I have 8 books with you now and another 34 on the way. I really don't feel like dealing with these rings.
  13. Jesus. I don’t recall asking for pressing. Guess that was a huge mistake. I’ll make sure to never do that again. Wow.
  14. I get the 30 day turn around but I’ve been waiting for almost 60 days on two modern books and customer support has been zero responsive to my emails.
  15. I just tried to submit a book for basic grading and it's trying to charge me $85 a pop. I know I don't get charged until after the books are received but I'm trying to submit like 8 books here and am not all about sending in an invoice for $700. Always seems to be something with this company lately.
  16. It's totally on me. I bought it already graded and didn't look at it closely. It's not trimmed, it's kinda just folded over a bit. Not sure a pressing would really fix that without leaving a color breaker and then it wouldn't be a 9.8 anyway. Wonder what it costs to regrade a book or if it's even worth it.
  17. I bought the book under the assumption I had little to worry about with a 9.6 but got this?
