  1. UPDATE: After sending the comic BACK to be reevaluated, it came back the SAME! There is ZERO mention that the interior is different from the cover. I don't understand why they won't record that the cover and interior don't match and are actually TWO different comic books. This situation has wasted a lot of my time and is a disappointment. I have opened a case to get my money back, as I'm NOT happy with their service at all!
  2. I emailed them and asked them how could this happen? Did the person grading NOT look inside? Were they so NEW they didn't realize the difference between the cover and interior? They noted the pages were WHITE, so what gives? They HAD TO look inside to determine that! On top of that, the artists listed were what was on the cover, NOT the John Byrne art inside (as a side note). UGH!
  3. Received my grade today. Though, I'm a little PERPLEXED as to why there is ZERO mention about the inside NOT matching the cover.... 4. Did you send it back in to be re-graded? If so, why?
  5. I'm pretty sure it will come back with a green label. Not sure why it would come back blue. As it falls more under the green label description. Or am I wrong about that? Universal Label (Blue) "This label is applied to comic books that are simply the grade as marked, with no qualifiers or special considerations." Qualified Label (Green) "A Qualified label is used by CGC for certified books that have a significant defect that needs specific description."
  6. The staples are tight, not loose at all. And the spine is in PRISTINE condition.
  7. Correct, I'm aware that it happens. It's just more rare that publishers get mixed up or crossed. From what I've seen, the cover and interior mix-up's usually occur more within the same publisher.
  8. It's from a one-time owner, so it's authantic. It came from someone thinning out their collection. I've decided to send it in to CGC for grading. It will be going out in tomorrows mail. I used the "fast track" option, so I'll hhopefully find out in about 15 days or so. Thanks for all your input. Once I receive the grade, I'll post an update here.
  9. Wouldn't it be a green label? How would this manufacturing error be considered "married"? Yes, the cover comes from a different source, but it's NOT a restoration. I'm suspecting your comment points to the possibility of a forgery? A reliable and recorded CGC grade and label would dispel any such thoughts to potential buyers/collectors, correct?
  10. I'll add my DC Night Force #2 cover with a Marvel Comics Fantastic Four #246 interior.
  11. Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it. Question, do you think I should get it professionally graded and "slabbed" by CGC or try to auction it off as is, in it's raw format? Is one considered better than the other or is it just a matter of perception?
  12. Sorry, I forgot to show a picture of the CENTER of the comic. In the picture below, you can see the placement of both staples.
  13. Hello and thank you for having me here. I've been collecting comic books on and off since 1979. My first job was at a comic book store (1987 to 1990) and now I sell comic books on eBay. While going through a set of comics to put up in my eBay store, I came across Night Force #2 by DC. As I always do before listing, I double check the issue number and date inside. I flip open the cover to reveal Fantastic Four #246 by Marvel Comics inside (Sept. 1982). My questions is, should a manufacturing error like his be recorded with the CGC? Does it matter? Is there a market for this type of thing? I'm fully aware there's a seller on eBay TRYING to get $1.2m for his DC Teen Titans #6 cover with Marvel Two-In-One #74 interior. I've looked all around and have not found any recorded history on this manufacturing error. A little help and/or constructive advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
