Agree on Spawn 1. Particularly as I own 20 NM copies. And Thor 339, of course.

Thor 339, huh?  First Stormbreaker.  I had never thought of a weapon's 1st appearance being a key but I understand your reasoning since it has become so popular after the last Avengers movie.

Either way, Walt Simonson's Thor and Beta Ray Bill run (starting with Thor 337) are super cool (IMHO).      ^^

For sale in this listing is Punch Comics 12 CGC 0.5 published by Chesler in 1945.  This is arguably the most sought-after horror cover in the entire hobby!  For anyone who has been waiting, this is the copy you have been waiting for!  Most of the problems with this issue are on the interior and the front cover looks MUCH nicer than you'd expect from a low grade comic!

There are only 22 CGC graded copies of this book.

CGC label notes : "restoration includes: glue on cover & interior. (From a Bound Volume) All 3 edges Trimmed. Interior contains stories from Punch #9, #11 & #13. Page 1-27 missing, affects story. Incomplete"

Asking $1,650 OBO.  Send me a PM if interested

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES # 1 CGC 9.6. Signed and sketched by both both Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird on the interior of the front cover (in pen). A perfect specimen of one of the most sought after books ever. Perfect centering, sharp corners, deep rich coloring, an absolute must have for any true TMNT fan. The key here is that it has Peter Laird's signature. Since selling to Viacom he is no longer attending conventions or doing signings so good luck finding a Laird signed copy again. It should be clear how extremely rare Peter Laird's signature is nowadays plus not only did he sign the book but he did a sketch as well. These books are incredibly hot right now and a super sound investment. A perfect example of the most sought after copper age book, we are thrilled to offer up this pristine NM+ copy. Ridiculously EXACT centering, sharp corners, bright coloring. How hot is this book? The last 9.6 offered for sale sold for $19,200 in August. That copy was not signed or sketched. We just sold a 9.2 in our last auction (August, 2018) for $11,251. Both are record prices in that grade!

    Day 1 - Thursday

I'm glad to report that Artist Alley was moved to a larger space and a 1000x better than last year.

It is still in the lower level but towards the middle of that level.  Larger space and wider aisles.

Employees are also stationed near the "hot" artists with designated lines for crowd control.

At the open, the lines seemed longest for Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo who were stationed in the back corner.

The artists' complained about last year's set up and I'm glad NYCC listened.

    Have fun everyone.

    Cheers!

That's good to hear.  I am headed there tomorrow and CANNOT wait!  So excited :whee:
