    Don't think it is that common. Most prospective buyers respect the books if they are serious about buying. I'm surprised the dealer didn't say something if the guy was mishandling the books.

    Couldn't agree more, Donut! Northern Virginia really is the worst! Thanks for the tip about Cards, Comics, and Collectibles. Maybe I'll make the trek up there sometime. Is Geppi's Comic World still open in Baltimore? I'm looking forward to the Shoff show tomorrow. I went to their last one in Rockville on July 22nd and was pretty impressed by the selection. There was one seller (All American Comics and Collectibles) who had some amazing wall books there. I'm hoping he is there again tomorrow.

    From their website Well I'm happy to report that Victory Comics did have the best inventory of back issues that I've seen in the Northern Virginia area - which isn't say a whole lot - but I was pretty impressed! They had new books, statues, posters, TPBs, Omnibuses, oversized Artists Editions, and back issues. Their back issue selection was pretty impressive and their prices were reasonable. Lots of bronze and silver age books and even a few Golden Age books. They had some CGC slabs in the showcase, lots of wall books, and a closed off section of the pricier back issues that you had to ask permission to browse in. I didn't end up buying anything but I found some X-Men back issues (117, 119, 124, 126, 128) that I need to help fill some holes in my collection. They were all in mid-range to higher grade books and were less than $20 each. I took some pictures to help show what I found.

    I know this is an old thread but I wanted to see if there were still any fellow collectors in the Northern Virginia area. I haven't had much luck with stores in the Northern Virginia area. Most have lots of new stuff and tons of TPBs but not alot of older books. Going to check out Victory Comics in Falls Church today so wish me luck! Also going to a Shoff Promotions Comic Con tomorrow in Tysons Corner.     I grew up in Stafford in the 80's. Still in Northern Virginia but now out in Ashburn area. Are you still in the area? Would be good to find some collectors in the DMV area to chat with.

    Thanks for the insight. I heard back from his rep who said they are only for sale at shows that Arthur is at. I'm not going to SDCC, sooooo...I guess I will have to wait until either Baltimore Comic Con or NYCC and hope he has the one I want. If anyone is going to SDCC and can provide an update when they see Arthur Adams, I'd appreciate it!

    Arthur Adams has always been one of my favorite X-Men artists but this one blew me away! If anyone has a lead on one of these (or any other cool Arthur Adams sketches), please let me know. I will pay top dollar!
