Didn't they do away with the Value Tier already?

I have always been sent an email the same day.

I have set for quick press marked received 1/21/21 that I have not been charged anything for yet.

1 Standard press and grade 4/6/21 Delivered 5/3/21 Received by CCS 5/12/21 Overcharged by CCS. Called about the charges. 5/14/21 Called back about the charges. Was given a CGC credit. Not the same as the money going back on my card which is what I asked for. 6/1/21 TAT of 20 days for pressing is up but no movement at all. I have no idea which date they are starting the TAT from now.

Yeah I was using Chrome. I did try it in Edge also but it did the same thing.

For some reason your images won't load up for me. I can see the placeholders for them.

Right now it would be faster to submit something for a signing but request it not to be signed. You would probably get it back in half the time of a regular submission.

Only 4 more months to go. Mine are currently at 87 days I believe. Looks like I will be getting mine back around Halloween.

I brought this up once before when they reached a month to receive a book after delivery. You can be sure no shipping company is going to take the blame for damages during shipping if CGC takes a month to open the package to inspect it. And if you ship with Fedex or UPS and get a signature on delivery I'm pretty sure that would hold up as it being in their possession.

I think they should change the times to something broader. It would set more realistic expectations and eliminate the confusion about working days.

As long as we don't get charged for grader's notes

I talked to customer service about a month after they were received when I noticed the times increasing about possibly changing them over to regular pressing since the times were shorter. She told me it wasn't possible since they were already in the room to be pressed, but if I wanted to upgrade to fast track pressing and fast track grading they could manage to do that. I passed on that because I think it would have been a $500-$600 cost to upgrade.

No I haven't been charged for those yet. When I called about them charging the new rate on some fast track pressing I asked about this order and they couldn't give me any update, but I was on the phone with accounting for what it's worth.

I have 18 moderns that got marked as received on 1/15/21. They were submitted for a quick press also. When I submitted them I think I calculated that they would be back to me end of May/early June. The last TAT I remember seeing on quick press was 99 days. There is no telling what it would be now since they have removed that service. I can only hope that doesn't mean they went to the end of the modern slow line.

I'm curious, Did you specifically request for the upgrades from economy to express or just state that you weren't happy and they took it upon themselves to upgrade?

From what I can tell from my recent submissions, anything opened after they made the change to when TAT starts will go to SFG whenever they actually open up the box. It will get marked Received if it goes to CCS but the TAT doesn't start at delivery for CCS services, it seems to start when they open the box. Not sure what happens to TAT after CCS is done since mine haven't changed over yet.

I think some of that may be how new the people are that are logging them into the system also. I recently had a couple that I thought would get bumped after the grades came back but they didn't.

When I sent my book in for Standard in March I think it was only 15 days. I remember thinking even if it takes a while to open it there is no way I won't get this back before the registry deadline.

I have to assume that the new policy of TAT starting when the books are delivered does not apply to CCS services. I have a standard book delivered 4/5 not even opened until 5/3. Current TAT for pressing that just went up from 10 days to 14 days.

This recent Eastman signing? I had a magazine get signed then pressed and graded and they shipped it back to me a month ago.

I don't know exactly how the check in process works, so maybe someone with more knowledge can clarify. But with it taking a month to check stuff in wouldn't that open them up to a lot of liability if something got damaged during shipping? It would be hard to argue it didn't happen in their possession if they haven't looked at it for a month.
