  1. Does anyone else think the insane increase in signings this year could've been to boost their numbers and/or projections prior to the sale?
  2. I recently had a book come through the Standard Press in less than 4 weeks. My thinking was if a quick press only goes through the process once and other pressing tiers go through multiple times, it should come out faster. Somehow they get a private signing through pressing in 2 weeks.
  3. Do you remember when CCS charged you for these? I have some books that got charged for quick press early June and I have been expecting them to go back to CGC any day now.
  4. At least they didn't disappear completely. I know that was the thought at first. I hope they at least refunded the cost of the Fast Track.
  5. I suppose this qualifies for this thread. These are two comic book covers I animated recently.
  6. I definitely think CGC has made a mistake. If it is a 9.8 it should be a green or yellow label. If it is a blue label it should be lower than a 9.8.
  7. It would've been a green label if they were marking it down for the sig. What you guys are missing is Crain just did a signing event. https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/8952/
  8. for anyone interested if you click on one of the highlighted dates you can see what the turnaround times were at that point of the year. https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/services-fees/cgc-grading/
  9. Sad thing is if you had sent in books to get graded when they first announced this year's awards there is a good chance you wouldn't have them back in time to register them anyway.
  10. I sent in a book for standard in April and the turn around time for it was only 25 days. By the time it was opened and checked in the times had shot up into the 60's. I'm still waiting.
  11. It might mean that QC is actually doing their job and fixing something that wasn't correct, but it doesn't hurt to call them and check. A month seems like a long time. Yes once they check in your boxes it goes straight to SFG unless it gets transferred to CCS for pressing.
  12. I haven't been watching the other ones closely but Standard just added 13 days
  13. 7 books Fast Track Modern 4/5 Delivered 5/3 Received on 5/2 the TAT was 23 days 5/3 SFG 6/16 Grading/Quality Control 6/18 Shipped 54 days from delivery edit: If it means anything the books say they were all graded on 6/10
  14. From what I can tell with my recent submissions if anything goes to CCS you can throw the TATs out the window. CCS times definitely don't start when the box is delivered and all of mine have been longer if try to count from the received date and shorter if you try to count from the date my card was charged. What's really got me now is the moderns I sent in the same box as my standard are going to finish first.
  15. 7 books Fast Track Modern 4/5 Delivered 5/3 Received 5/3 SFG 6/16 Grading/Quality Control 52 days from delivery
  16. You are probably right, if this were Vegas I would say the over/under would be a year.
  17. I was hoping it was just me and it meant they were in the process of updating the status.
  18. Will our reaction Turn Around Times start when the posts are delivered or after they have been received by all parties involved?
  19. As far as insurance purposes go you should declare the max value for the tier you are submitting in. At least that is the advice I was given on my first submission.
  20. 18 Modern - Quick Press and Grading Delivered 1/6/21 Received 1/21/21 Charged by CCS 6/8/21 98 days from box opening
  21. 1 Standard press and grade 4/6/21 Delivered 5/3/21 Received by CCS 5/12/21 Charged by CCS 6/8/21 Scheduled for Grading only 2 1/2 months left to go when I submitted them the total turn around for both was 30 days
  22. I didn't realize they had pushed the date back that far.
