Of the names you listed, Chipper Jones has always been more than accommodating when interacting with fans. I've witnessed him signing multiple times for everyone around him. I believe you should stand behind what you say you are going to do. If you commit to buy something and pay for it. You need to keep it unless there is some defect or damage with the item. Otherwise, why go through the effort to purchase it in the first place? If you don't mind sharing your eBay ID, I will be sure not to do business with you in the future.

Still curious as to why a known bidder is backing out of a deal.

Did Heritage offer any reason why the "winning bid" by a bidder that is familiar to them did not follow through. I would think a familiar name would not back out of a deal. Are there any repercussions from not paying for an item you win? I know if that happened around my way...the person would no longer be allowed to participate in future auctions.

Many estate sales are managed by a professional company. At what point do we become responsible for a company if they price it to low You don't. You pay the price as marked. The estate company works solely for the seller and it is their job to get the best price for their client. They do not have any obligation to you as the buyer. I have certainly bought items at an estate sale that I paid too much for--that is not their fault but mine.

I'm sorry you paid $350 for a raw 6.0 IM 55. Yeah, they describe it as "Higher grade" I'd return it as item not as described as soon as that bad boy arrives and chalk this whole thing up as a lesson learned. This. (thumbs u How can you return it as item not described if it has no restoration? If it does have resto the a return seems reasonable. They coined it as Higher grade, what's that? 7.5-10 This is a Mid grade book. Higher than what?
