  1. @jimjum12 - praying for you and your family, and wishing for a speedy recovery!
  2. Thanks again! These will be perfect! I threw in a few extras too - I just sent you a PM with tracking. And Merry Christmas!
  3. Not a Marvel, I know... This one is FREE to anyone who buys multiple books - make sure to claim it if you want it.
  4. $2 each for some great Bronze (mostly) Marvel books! The rules: No naughty listers Shipping will be actual cost based on PirateShip rates for USPS Ground Advantage or Priority - I'll be 100% transparent with shipping, it's a pass-through cost (I'm not looking to make money on handling/packaging). I can ship internationally, but the cost of shipping and any additional VAT/Customs/etc. costs are the responsibility of the buyer No returns. I pack well and securely, either in Gemini mailers or boxes depending on the volume of books in the order. In the case of extreme mishandling or something by USPS, I'll definitely resolve it with you. I've bought a lot and sold a bit here and on eBay, and I'm active on the boards - I'm confident that there are users here who would vouch for my character if you need a reference. Payment is by Paypal G&S. If you don't have access to Paypal, we can discuss other options like Venmo, but Paypal G&S is preferred. Books are $2 each (did I mention that?) - pics are below, each book will have an individual post so you can do an to claim.
  5. Wow, that's a nice chunk of change, congrats!
  6. Amazing Spider-man 1 is one of the most sought-after comics of one of the most popular comic book characters of all time. I never loved the argument that "this book has X number slabbed, which seems like a lot, so why is it so valuable?" It's obviously most often used with books like New Mutants 98 and Hulk 181. Take the 4,790 slabbed ASM 1s for example. Let's throw out an assumption that there are only 1 million people in the entire world who collect comic books. If that were true, it would mean that - even if every single one could afford a slabbed copy of ASM 1 - only one-half of one percent of collectors would ever have the opportunity at one time. Obviously I don't know how many actual collectors there are, but it stands to reason that it's more than 1 million people. Even with a book like New Mutants 98 at 28,000+ slabbed copies, in our 1 million collector example it would still mean that fewer than 3% could own a copy at one time. It's not necessarily the rarity that drives the value, it's supply and demand.
  7. My dad found me a box of books at an antique show for $20 - it's a huge incomplete run of Treasure Chest. Two of the sought-after anti-Communist ones from Vol. 17 are missing (#18 and #20), and the other volumes range from various issues of Vol. 12-19. Vol. 18 is the only complete one with all 20 issues. Still a really nice pickup for the price, these are pretty interesting! Vol. 12: Vol. 13: Vol. 15 Vol. 16: Vol. 17: Vol. 18 Vol. 19:
  8. My dad went to an antique show, and he picked me up a box of comics for $20: Vol. 12: Vol. 13: Vol. 15 Vol. 16: Vol. 17: Vol. 18 Vol. 19:
  9. My original copy from when I was a kid is a 7th print. I believe I bought it in 1989 or 1990 (I could be mistaken, I'm not 100% sure what the time frame was for the 7th printing), so I would have been 11-12. I remember my dad taking me to a comic shop in Madison, and it was on a rack, and nobody said a word when I bought it... EDIT: Actually, I was wrong, it's a 4th print. So I guess I have 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th printings now.
