Popped in to a local hobby shop that "also has a couple of boxes of comics" - pulled these out of the $1 bin: And this one wasn't $1, but it was cover price, at that same shop:

Although I just said in the post above that my kids don't care for comics, my daughter actually did read and liked the Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane books. She also really liked the Calvin and Hobbes and Fox Trot collections (obviously a little different than what we're talking about here, but still comics in their own right).

I set up at a show last weekend, and a handful of people brought kids with them. For every kid that came through, I told them to look in the $1 bins and find a couple of books they might like, and they could have them. As a parent (whose kids don't care at all about comics unfortunately) it was a lot of fun to see their faces light up as they dug through the bins.

Yeah! But I actually got them from another seller, Davis Rider - I believe they collaborate on a bunch of stuff. I couldn't pass them up, I really like the trade cover.

I hadn't been on WhatNot for a while, so I decided to check it out the other night when I was bored (a potentially dangerous game financially). I ended up buying 6 raw books for a total of $30, and I won a "buyer's giveaway" CGC SS 9.8 as well!

This Week In Your Plastic Crack, Action Figures and Toy Collection
Jesse-Lee replied to Buzzetta's topic in Comics General
Looks like they're doing a chase variant of Captain Carrot. I hate chase variants. Also, it looks ok, but they used the same sculpt of course so it still looks a little off... -

Me too, but I'll take what I can get - I've wanted an official Captain Carrot pretty much since I was a kid. Hopefully if this one does well, they'd consider a classic line in some format. I also wish he had some accessories, like at least a carrot, but again, just happy to be getting a figure released. A classic line would work perfectly in the Super Powers format. -

They finally made a Captain Carrot figure! This was an instant order for me, it looks fantastic! https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/259277?o=1 -

I couldn't just leave it behind by itself! Although it does kind of look like someone wiped their behind with it...

Popped into an LCS today because I needed bags and boards, and decided to check out their $1 bins. Glad I stayed!

I paid $18 total for the Marville books - the first pic is the 3 covers of issue 1, and the second pic is issues 2-4. The Greg Horn covers can be all over on price but usually go for $5-15 each (issue 1 sometimes goes for more). The one you're talking about is issue 5, which is typically the most expensive.

Oh man, Marville is only one of the worst comics series of all time (with some... interesting Greg Horn covers). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marville_(comics)
