  1. That's both x2 for 1 and 2, the multi quote looked a little confusing.
  2. Picked up a vintage He-Man and Battle Cat - the He-Man is a © 1981 Taiwan with a "2" axe and "9" sword, but with long tabs on the harness, so most likely from the second wave of 8-back figures (the first 2 waves of MOTU figures had 8 characters on the card backs, the subsequent early waves in 1982 and 1983 had 12 characters on the card backs). The Battle Cat is a © 1976 Taiwan with © 1981 Taiwan armor, and with white dots in the pupils, which most likely makes it a first wave Battle Cat - but not the rare variant with the striped tail. Both are 100% complete (although there is some damage to He-Man's shield) and they are awesome! Also got a vintage Point Dread and Talon Fighter - almost 100% complete, just missing the cardboard insert that went into the base of Point Dread. But it has the radar dish and perch, which are the two most-often missing pieces. I think it looks great on top of my vintage Grayskull! I've also been buying some Masterverse figures, and I'm in the process of opening them and photographing them in their various iterations. I'll share a couple of quick pics below (these figures are so cool), and I'll share the collection once I finally have them all opened and photographed. I will say this - if you're a MOTU fan and have $20 to spare, do yourself a favor and get the Masterverse Battle Cat on Amazon. I think it was originally like $40-50. But it is an amazingly impressive figure. Here's a couple of quick pics of the Masterverse New Eternia Skeletor and Whiplash:
  3. Thanks, Clayton Crain - throw some acetate on there while you're at it!
  4. Hey, that's the wrong #4... supposed to be Wolverine Noir #4...
  5. If I close my eyes and really think about it, I can almost taste these again - I don't know how many of these I ate as a kid, but it was a lot.
  6. Dude... I need more time between sales to raise some funds... Do me a favor and don't tell @habsfan1 and @PunisherPunisherPunisher about this sales thread this time around...
  7. I just posted this in the general collection thread, but thought it might be fun to share here too: I don't typically collect cards, but I saw these on eBay and went for them on a whim. In 1966, Topps/O-Pee-Chee printed multiple sets of Batman trading cards due to the popularity of the new Batman television show. Three of the most popular card sets were painted by Norman Saunders. The three sets are nicknamed the Black Bat (series 1, 55 cards), Red Bat (series 2, 44 cards) and Blue Bat (series 3, 44 cards), named for the color of the bat symbol on the front of each of the cards in the set. From what I could gather, full sets of these cards don't come up all that often, and when they do, they're pricey. This set of the Blue Bat puzzle back cards is very low grade, but it's complete. I stumbled across the auction while I was looking for Batman books, and it seemed like it was going under the rader - it had a starting bid of $25 (plus $10 shipping), and it was sitting with no bids until basically the close of the auction. I threw in a last-second bid and ended up being the winner at $28 with only 2 bids. Even though the set is very low grade, I think this was still a great deal at basically $1 a card after shipping/tax, and once I got them in sleeves and top loaders, I think they have a lot of character and look really cool!
  8. This was a fun mail day. First is something a little different (not a comic). I don't typically collect cards, but I saw these on eBay and went for them on a whim. In 1966, Topps/O-Pee-Chee printed multiple sets of Batman trading cards due to the popularity of the new Batman television show. Three of the most popular card sets were painted by Norman Saunders. Second, I finally added this book to the collection - Fright 3, first appearance and cover of Freddy Krueger in comics - I've had my eye on it for quite awhile, but it's a pretty expensive book for what it is. I finally got in at basically an entry-level copy - it has a loose (but not popped) top staple, and there's a small tear on the back cover. It was still $55 despite that, but the cover itself looks great, especially in Mylar, and it's for my personal collection so I'm just happy to have a copy!
  9. Couple of LCS pickups today, and Batman 17 came out of a bulk longbox I bought yesterday. Bats 9 and 17 are pretty beat up, but as long as I find New 52 Batman newsies for less than $5, I pretty much always grab them regardless of condition as finding them in the wild is few and far between.
  10. Had time to stop in at an LCS I really like today - they always have a really random selection in their bins, and today didn't disappoint on that front. Paid $50 for the lot:
  11. I sold a Hulk TPB on eBay a few weeks ago - today I received this amazing feedback :
  12. Bought a long box of 300 books for $80 on Marketplace - nothing too crazy in there overall, but this was a fun surprise. I've always loved this cover:
  13. I missed the Hellverine, but I hear this Spider-Boy fella is turning some heads.
  14. Got this at a show today for $20 because of the condition issues - happy to pay it since I've wanted a copy of this book for awhile:
