  1. It says “cut” before that, too. So, “Cut Professor discussing blood constituents…” That makes sense as an editorial note, and fits the context.
  2. I flipped through the issue, and looked closely. I did see differences from page to page, so then I tried to match styles. The pages/characters I believe AA inked really stood out to me. I also found some Mignola characteristics on other pages in inks and faces. I would guess Gordon on this page, but it’s only a guess. Have you considered sending a message to the artists reps, or the artists themselves, to get an answer?
  3. Neil Vokes? The art reminds me a bit of Eagle, a comic he worked on in the 80s with Rich Rankin, and Neil did work on Dr Strange, according to The Internet. Looking at his older work, I think it could be a possibility. I found this image on eBay of an older work of his. Good luck with the search!
  4. Agreed on Rubén’s show. He got some cool art I hadn’t seen before, and offered nice deals. Like that very nice Larsen Savage Dragon/Spawn page for 1k. I had to watch afterwards because of a trip that weekend, but that’s one I’m tuning into going forward. The commenters and buyers were cool folk, too.
  5. I tried to pick a top 5 and just gave up. Kirby had so many awesome FF covers, early to late. He got more polished in the middle of the run, but those early ones are magic, too. 7,8, 11,12, big ol’ etc. It started on Yancy Street. Man, I’d give up a huge portion of my collection to own any.
  6. Watch the nervous sweat roll down their faces as the host drops some folding chairs and barbed wire between them. “So, you all want to sell some art?” On the next episode of Cage Match Claims!
  7. How do you guys feel about comics.gocollect.com? I’m actually selling some stuff for OA (not main keys, except for a few Timely comics I’ve sold), but I’m a price guide guy. I try to not get too caught up in hot pricing, but this feels more like it might be new prices being set on some titles. I had no idea those titles JJJ mentioned were so hot...
  8. There’s also that white-hot need putting a fire in their belly. When we started out, our want lists were muuuuuuch longer. Getting some great pieces takes the edge off of that, imo. Planet’s cores cool over time, as the crust solidifies and takes shape.
  9. I only put up two pages, but they were good ones. The Buscema Surfer sold last night, but the Colan Daredevil page is still available. Just dropped the price. Thanks for looking, and enjoy the con today! CAF booth link
  10. I guess Zeus doesn’t approve of Herc’s headband...
  11. There is a thread (on page 2 now), where the heavy lifters here came up with general market values for A quality pages. What you’re describing sounds like a possible A page, imo. The Journey into Mystery range was 20-30k. Thor was 10-20K. Yours is the first Thor, which I think gives it a slight premium. It’s also pretty awesome key issue. I’m not as well-versed as other people here, but I agree with about a 20-25k valuation. You could start with $20,000, and give yourself some space to counter if they hesitate? It shouldn’t be an insulting offer, and the page seems to possibly be on a valuation cusp, imo.
  12. You probably already saw this, but one went up for sale on CAF. BWS Conan Good luck!
