  1. Thank you both for grading my comic.  Damn shadows on this book, short of daylight I always have problems with using a light source.  I took pictures again of the staples and I think it was the shadow of the book, where the staples rest in the recess of the spine.  Here you can see that they look normal, at least to my eye.  The picture still looks a little dull, but I didn’t see any rust

  2. Good morning,

I paid to have a magazine graded with Walk Through and it was checked in right away with a date of 2/27/23, same day it arrived via Fed Ex.  It says the current turn around time is 3 days for "WT" magazines.  The book is currently in the status of "Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging"

When I submitted in the past I haven't done a Walk Through and due to that fact I waited to have the book graded when they were ready to be graded, no questions asked.  However, paying for the Walk Through service, can I contact customer service and "bump" this book to the top of the line, which is what I assumed when I paid the extra amount to have it labeled as Walk Through.

    Thank you

  3. Hi all,

Newbie with a Walk Through question.

Today marks 15 working days.  Again if it was a Modern Submission and I didn't pay the extra amount I would wait until the grading eventually occurred.  In this example do I have a puncher's chance of getting this "bumped" or do I just accept the situation.

    Thank you in advance

  4. Yeah I bought two copies from a dealer, same issue of that light spine roll.  I’ve sent these off to Avery Pressing services, crossing my fingers that one comes back a 9.8.  Only 7% of the newstands hit that mark so it will be a long shot.  Funny, I think the light makes it look like there is color rub as I had the book under a high wattage set of bulbs

  5. Like Barth mentioned they are delaying this for the 2022 reporting year.  Looks like the new Congress may try a middle ground of $10k as the reporting limit.  It will be interesting to see if they do implement the change in 2023 as it seems they realized this will be a mess for all involved.

  6. I’ve been buying on the app since earlier this spring and like EBay, online auctions, etc any purchases done online, the experience has been mixed like other platforms like EBay.

I’ve done well and picked up some great books at great prices.  There are repeat sellers that I’ve gone back to that make the What Not experience fun as well.  On the downside you get some sellers that will whine if they aren’t getting what they think the books are worth.  I’ve been in a couple of auctions where the seller shut down an auction because they felt the prices were too low.

I think the best thing is the community aspect of the app where you can become a regular and get to know the sellers.  More good than bad for sure, but probably not everyone’s cup of tea.
