  1. I was charged when the grading was completed. Also, it looks like they are approximately one week to open and scan in your orders, looking at that other thread. My submission was in on 11/2, so I imagine I'll see it in the system sometime early this week.
  2. Yeah, my bulk submission isn't entered yet and it got there on Monday. I expected it to take longer to get logged than my 'standard' submission I did my first go-round. I generally don't love how the grading companies all sort of back into their timelines by not starting the clock until they've logged everything, but it seems the industry works that way as a whole, and at least CGC is more reliable on there turnaround times compared to the competition, once it's logged in.
  3. The reverse of the card is often a tell, too. That white spotch near the center is apparently hard to mirror. And you could magnify from the side and see if there are three layers of paper (middle layer is darker), but that's hard to do. CGC would definitely do that when grading, I'm sure.
  4. I don't think it's fake, though it's definitely different. XY Evolutions is known for erratic print quality, which is part of the reason these are hard to grade in the first place. If it's a fake, it's a very good one. I'd shine a phone flash through both of them (out of the cases) and see if they are similarly translucent. There are many articles about spotting fakes that have other techniques.
  5. I'm prepping my 2nd and 3rd submissions now, but my first submission was received on 9/24. It split into two; I had one card routed through the 'error grading' process and ten others with regular grading. The ten cards shipped on 10/15 and the error card on 10/20. Less than 30 days, for sure.
  6. If you use their shipping for the return it's signature required. FedEx will not ship to a PO Box, I do not believe. Not sure about the other carriers, but that's what you need to look up.
  7. Can attest; this is how mine worked. The credit was applied seamlessly and worked just fine.
  8. I mean, there are lots and lots of resources I've found online, but nothing centralized and/or authoritative. It takes a lot of research to really be able to assess these cards well.
  9. Not that I think is generally reliable or published by any reputable source that I've seen. Pokemon TCG price benchmarking is all about verifying recent secondary market data and things are very volatile right now. This card in NM condition was 20-30 early this year, maybe a little more. It doubled, then has at least doubled again over the last few months. I'd absolutely get this graded. I don't think it's a 9 or a 10, but any first edition in NM condition would appreciate significantly and justify the 10-20 dollar grading fee, imo.
  10. Received my first submission and the cases seem fine. They are definitely on par with my PSA slabs and feel a little sturdier. I've seen people post stuff about cracking them open 'easily', but they are using tools and things designed to put pressure on the case. Those are things I typically don't do to enjoy my collection, so I would think these meet the quality standard of the PSAs and Beckett's of the world.
